Even though i’ve never really been a massive fan of Lush’s Skincare range, as it just doesn’t work that well for my Skin, one of the products that I do actually really like definitely has to be their 9 To 5 Cleanser, as I think that it’s a great lightweight gentle Cleanser that leaves my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, soothed and intensely hydrated. Unfortunately though, for some strange reason they decided to discontinue it during the Pandemic, which means that i’ve been on the look out for anything that’s as lightweight and gentle whilst still also giving me the same amazing results. That’s why when I had heard that they had rereleased their 9 To 5 Cleanser, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Lush say about their 9 To 5 Cleanser.
What a way to make a Cleanser.
When you’re working 9 to 5, some Cleansers are all takin’ and no givin’! Not this one. We make this gentle Cleanser with Fresh Phalaenopsis Orchid Petals for busy folk with Sensitive Skin.
Made with Organic Jojoba Oil, sourced from a supplier who sustainably cultivates Organic Jojoba Seeds in Peru, their Plant Shrubs providing a habitat for local Bird Species in the Peruvian Desert. 9 To 5’s Ylang Ylang Oil has a light, floral perfume which adds a touch of luxury to your day.
How to use.
When you tumble outta Bed (or before you tumble in it), a dollop of this beautiful Lotion on a Fresh Face Cloth will put you right. Sweep over the Face and Eyes to remove Dirt, Debris and all traces of Makeup, but leave the Skin feeling soft and soothed.
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Almond Oil, Glycerine, Organic Jojoba Oil, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Everlasting Flower Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil, Fresh Phalaenopsis Orchid Petals Extracted In Almond Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Linalool, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a very subtile fresh and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Orchid scent to it that kind of reminded me of walking past some Orchids on a balmy Spring Afternoon.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Cleanser, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Cleansing Lotion rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Cleanser.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Cleansing Lotion into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Milk that spread really easily across my Face.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, soothed, refreshed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush 9 To 5 Cleanser a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s very subtile fresh and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Orchid scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a Bottle with some kind of a Pump Lid, as with it’s incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily consistancy and being £20 a Bottle it isn’t the most cost-effective Cleanser, especially if you can’t control exactly how much of it you’re using.
