Feeling The Rhythm Of The Beat In My Shower | Lush Beats Shower Jelly & Bongo Shower Jelly

I’ve always loved Lush’s Shower Jellies, as I really like that they come in so many weird and wonderful scents and that they also leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth and hydrated. That’s why when I went to Lush Liverpool Spa a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to stop by their Shower Department to check out all of the delicious smelling Exclusive Shower Jellies that they had on offer. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up the Beats Shower Jelly and the Bongo Shower Jelly, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about both delicious smelling products.

The Beats Shower Jelly.

beat the Blues and get in the groove with this glam Glitter Ball of a Shower Jelly!

For dancing Divas looking to catch Disco Fever, this sparkling Shower Jelly is full of cleansing Charcoal and perky Peppermint.

The Bongo Shower Jelly.

Hydrating Coconut Milk and Fresh Mango Juice join a tropical bunch of upbeat ingredients to make sure you’re Shower goes off with a bang!

When it comes to Foam and fun and goodness in the Jungle, they all prefer the sunny funny one that they call Bongo.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerine, Fresh Mint Infusion, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Propylene Glycol, Carrageenan Extract, Fragrance, Activated Charcoal, Peppermint Oil, Menthol Crystals, Titanium Dioxide, Tin Oxide , and Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and minty yet ever so slightly creamy Peppermint scent to it that kind of reminded me of eating a massive piece of Peppermint Rock on Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Jelly, I thought that it felt really tough and rubbery, and was more like a really tough and rubbery Ball of Rubber rather than a squishy and slimy yet ever so slightly watery Shower Jelly.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it started to release lots of thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and minty yet ever so slightly creamy Peppermint for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Black Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerine, Coconut Milk, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Propylene Glycol, Carrageenan Extract, Fragrance, Fresh Mango Juice, Oakwood Absolute, Vanilla Absolute, Water, Titanium Dioxide, Gardenia Extract, Coumarin, and Colour 15510, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Mango & Coconut scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you make a Mango & Coconut Smoothie.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Beats Shower Jelly a nine out of ten, and the Lush Bongo Shower Jelly a nine out of ten. I really liked the Lush Beats Shower Jelly, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and minty yet ever so slightly creamy Peppermint scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I did notice that it tended to leave little Black marks all over my Shower every time that I used it. I really liked the Lush Bongo Shower Jelly, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Mango & Coconut scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Mango as it’s actually one of my favourite scents.

  1. The minty one sounds really nice, well they both sound nice but I like the smell of mint a bit more. I think I will have to try it.

    • It’s a delicious scent, but unfortunately it’s only available at their Liverpool Spa store. Luckily they’re releasing a Bath Bomb with the same scent for Christmas though.
