Try A Little Tenderness | Lush Coconut Drench Massage Ba & Coconut Drench Dusting Powder

Even though i’m not really a massive fan of Gourmand-smelling Fragrances, I actually really liked the Lush Moisturising Coconut & Mullein Cataplasm Bath Bomb, and was really disappointed when it was unfortunately discontinued. That’s why when I had heard that they had released a Coconut Drench Massage Bar and a Coconut Drench Dusting Powder that both share it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly chocolatey Coconut scent, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and pick them both up. Well i’ve been using them for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about both delicious smelling products.

The Lush Coconut Drench Massage Bar.

Rich hydrating Coconut and Vanilla.
You’ll be Coconuts about this Massage Bar. Moisturising and hydrating thanks to the natural benefits of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Brazilian Babassu Oil is said to help repair Skin, while also acting as a Carrier Oil, bringing the other ingredients deeper into the Skin. A delicious blend of Tonka and Vanilla Absolute adds a rich and cosy sweetness.
Lush Massage Bars have been formulated with moisturising Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter and Organic Shea Butter, which are naturally rich in Vitamin E.

We use the finest quality Essential Oils for their beautiful scent, their Skin-loving qualities, and the positive effects they can have on your Body and Mind.
The exclusive source of the Organic, Fair Trade Cocoa Butter in our Massage Bars, is from Communities living on the edge of the Biodiversity-rich Gola Rainforest in Sierra Leone, home to Pygmy Hippos. Our Supplier supports Farmers in protecting and conserving the Forest, encouraging Farmers to stop Deforestation and encroachment on Wild Land, instead growing in Biodiversity friendly ways. With seven Manufacturing Sites across the Globe, this information may vary depending on where your Lush products were made.

How to use.

Melt the Bar directly on to dry Skin and massage the Oils and Butters in. If the Bar is cold, begin by warming between your Hands to melt. Lush Massage Bars are generously Oil-rich, so apply as much or as little as desired and re-apply as needed.

How to store.

Keep this buttery Bar fresh and clean in a lidded container like one of our Oval Tins.

Melt warning.

The Lush Coconut Drench Dusting Powder.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Shea Butter, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Babassu Oil, Tonka Extract, Vetivert Oil, Vanilla Extract, Carrot Seed Oil, Organic Linseed Oil, Anise Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Coumarin, Limonene, and Linalool, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly chocolatey Coconut scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had blended up an entire Bar of Bounty into a massive Glass of Coconut Milk.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had slightly warmed it between my Hands and had started to massage it into my Skin, it started to release lots of incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Body Lotion all over my Body that sank into my Skin within a matter of minutes.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly chocolatey Coconut for at least an hour after I had used it.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Cornstarch, Tapioca Starch, Tapioca Flour, Magnesium Carbonate, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Soybean Flour, Coconut Milk Powder, Fragrance, Vetivert Oil, Vanilla Extract, Tonka Extract, Maltodextrin, Benzyl Benzoate, Eugenyl Acetate, Limonene, Acetyl Cedrene, Benzyl Alcohol, Coumarin, and Vanillin, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly chocolatey Coconut scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had blended up an entire Bar of Bounty into a massive Glass of Coconut Milk.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Dusting Powder, I thought that it felt incredibly fine and soft yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like an incredibly fine and soft yet ever so slightly creamy Talcum Powder rather than a fine and crumbly yet ever so slightly soft Dusting Powder.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had shaken a little bit of it out of it’s Bottle and had started to press it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly fine and soft yet ever so slightly creamy Talcum Powder into a fine and soft yet ever so slightly dry Dusting Powder that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking much healthier and smelling of delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly chocolatey Coconut for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a short and wide Cardboard Bottle with a Sprinkle Applicator that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, I unfortunately found it very difficult to control how much of it came out of it’s Bottle when I started to sprinkle it across my Skin.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Coconut Drench Massage Bar a nine out of ten, and the Lush Coconut Drench Dusting Powder an eight point five out of ten. I really liked the Lush Coconut Drench Massage Bar, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly chocolatey Coconut scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly chocolatey scent was also available in some other products, like a Body Spray, a Candle, or maybe even a Shower Gel. I really liked the Lush Coconut Drench Dusting Powder, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly chocolatey Coconut scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had come in some kind of a Plastic Bottle or Tub so that I could control exactly how much of it I was using.
