I absolutely love to relax at the end of a long, stressful or hectic day by taking a nice hot Bath and then applying some kind of Body Lotion that matches the Bath Bomb, Bubble Bar or Bath Oil that i’ve used in my Bath. Unfortunately though, apart from their Dream Cream Body Lotion or Sleepy Body Lotion, Lush doesn’t really offer that many Body Lotions anymore. That’s why when they very kindly asked me if I would like to try a Tub of their Lime Bounty Body Butter that claims to contain a blend of six different Butters and Oils to leave you with silky soft and deeply moisturised Skin, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Lush say about their Lime Bounty Body Butter.
How to use.
Use lavishly all over your Body, treating low circulation spots like the Thighs, Hips and the tops of your Arms to a generous smattering and drift away on a little reverie of Skincare goodness…
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut Extract, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Fair Trade Cocoa Butter, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Murumuru Butter, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, Stearic Acid, Cupuaçu Butter, Triethanolamine, Persian Lime Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Lemon Myrtle Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Citral, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 45350, and Colour 42090, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lime scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you zest a Lime when you’re making a Key Lime Pie.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Butter, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Cream with little pieces of Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter in it rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Body Butter.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Cream with little pieces of Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter in it into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Lotion that sank into my Skin within a couple of minutes. I however wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s little pieces of Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter though, as no matter how much I tried to massage them into my Skin, they unfortunately never melted which meant that I was left with little pieces of Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter all over my Body until they finally melted about ten or so minutes later.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised ,but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lime for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Black Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Lime Bounty Body Butter a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lime scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it hadn’t contained so many pieces of Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter as they never really melted and were quite difficult to massage into my Skin.
