One of the Lush Co-Create ranges that I always look forward to seeing definitely has to be their Dia De Muuertos range, as I adore learning all about the different Customs, Stories and Traditions that people use to celebrate their dead loved ones. That’s why when I had heard that they had released a Dia De Muertos 2026 range, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Bottle of Aliento Del Colibrí Shower Gel, and a Tub of Horchata Body Scrub, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.
Here’s what Lush say about both delicious smelling products.

A flutter of Florals.
On Día de Muertos the celestial Hummingbird follows Fragrant Paths to Ofrendas, carrying Messages from Loved Ones. Sweet Rose Oil and hints of ripe Berry notes hum across the Skin in a flight of Florals, softness and remembrance.

“Aliento del Colibrí is a Shower Gel inspired by a well-known belief in Mexican Culture: that Hummingbirds carry Messages from the dead to the living. When a Hummingbird appears, it is said to bring love, thoughts or words left unsaid, a quiet sign that those who have passed are still present. During Día de Muertos, remembrance is filled with colour and scent. Altars are covered with Flowers chosen not only for their beauty, but for their fragrance — meant to guide, welcome and honour returning Souls. This Product pays tribute to those Floral Offerings and the messages they carry.”

We’re serving up a Pot of invigorating, spiced milky goodness to fill your Showers with Día de Muertos nostalgia. Some like it hot, but we take our Horchata with plenty of scrubby Bamboo and Tagua Nut, Ground White Rice, hydrating Oils, finished with a drizzle of Vanilla and Cinnamon. We’ll Scrub to that!

“Horchata is a beloved Drink with roots tracing back to Ancient North Africa, where Beverages were made from soaked Tiger Nuts. The Recipe later spread to Spain and eventually travelled to Latin America during Spanish Colonisation, evolving into the Rice-based version many people know today.”
“Now it is enjoyed as both a refreshing Drink, and a symbol of Cultural Heritage in many Hispanic Communities, often served during Family Gatherings, festivals, or even as an everyday Treat. This Día de Muertos I wanted to share a culturally significant symbol of a common Mexican Joy with the Hearts, and on the Bodies! of Lushies around the World.”

Tagua Powder is made by grinding down Waste Nuts and is 100% Biodegradable. The Local Community is involved at every stage of Processing, making it truly Regenerative, Environmentally, Socially and Economically.

Serve yourself a generous handful and buff over wet Skin to polish away Skin Squames and stir up a cosy Fragrance.

It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, Rose Oil, Carrageenan Extract, Fair Trade Organic Aloe Vera Powder, Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Silica, Tin Oxide, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Amyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Geraniol, Colour 15510, and Colour 77491, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Rose scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had sprayed a Rose Head with some Violet-Infused Water.
It’s consistency.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Micellar Water rather than a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Shower Gel.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Micellar Water into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Rose for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Stearic Acid, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Bamboo Stem Powder, Tagua Nut Powder, Glycerin, Triethanolamine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Organic Argan Oil, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Rice Milk, Bergamot Oil, Cinnamon Bark Oil, Lemon Myrtle Oil, Benzoin Resinoid Extract, Vanilla Extract, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Ground White Rice, Ground Almond Extract, Fair Trade Organic Cinnamon Powder, Titanium Dioxide, Propylene Glycol, Cinnamal, Citral, Coumarin, Eugenol, Limonene, Linalool, Pinene, Hydroxycitronellal, Linalyl Acetate, Fragrance, Methylparaben, and Propylparaben, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and spicy yet ever so slightly creamy Cinnamon scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had crushed up an entire Packet of Biscoff Biscuits into a massive Glass of Semi-Skimmed Milk.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Scrub, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy and gritty, and was more like an incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Cleansing Balm with little pieces of Bamboo Stem Extract, Tagua Nut Powder and Ground White Rice running through it rather than a thick and marshmallowy yet ever so slightly gritty Body Scrub.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Cleansing Balm with little pieces of Bamboo Stem Extract, Tagua Nut Powder and Ground White Rice running through it into a thick and gritty yet ever so slightly creamy Body Scrub that spread really easily across my Body.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky smooth, squeaky clean, soft, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and spicy yet ever so slightly creamy Cinnamon for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Clear Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Aliento Del Colibrí Shower Gel a seven out of ten, and the Lush Horchata Body Scrub a nine out of ten. I really liked the Lush Aliento Del Colibrí Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Rose scent, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily consistency. I really liked the Lush Horchata Body Scrub ,as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and spicy yet ever so slightly creamy Cinnamon scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was also available in some of their other scents, like Avobath, Outback Mate, or maybe even Sex Bomb.
