I Don’t Think You’re Ready For This Jelly | Lush Hanukkah 2025 Range

Like i’ve said in quite a lot of my Lush Posts lately, I really like that they have their Co-create Range, as I love that no matter what Religious Celebration, Holiday or Tradition you celebrate, that there’s a product to help you celebrate it. That’s why when I had heard that they had released a Hanukkah 2025 range with some of the products being created by someone who works at Lush Head Office, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Tub of Sufganiyah Sugar Scrub, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A medium circular puddle of some gradient bright magenta red and creamy white body scrub that has some pieces of Castor Sugar running through it, on a light grey background.

Here’s what Lush say about their Sufganiyah Sugar Scrub.

Are you ready for this Jelly?
You bring the Light and Laughter, we’ll bring the sweet smells of Berry Jam and Vanilla Baked Goods. Just like the treat enjoyed on Hanukkah, you won’t be able to get enough of the mouth-watering scent of Davana and Lemon Oil. Mix it all up with softening Caster Sugar and Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter for a truly scrumptious Scrub.
Co-Create is a Product Creation Programme for Lush Staff, aiming to promote diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging by lifting up authentic stories from respective communities. Co-creator Kata shares her inspiration for this Hanukkah product.
“Eating these yummy, fluffy Sweet Treats is a very long standing tradition in my Family and worldwide as well. I have lots of lovely memories of making them with my Mum at Home and also at School.”

What’s in it for you?

  • Sufganiyah is a Pillow-soft Doughnut, traditionally eaten during Hanukkah. The Oils used to prepare them symbolises the miracle of the Oil lasting eight days in the Biblical Story.
  • This Scrub has two equally delicious scents swirled together for ultimate scruminess. The warming Vanilla scent of Cookie Dough brings freshly baked Pastries to mind, while the tangy sweetness of Raspberry Soap gives this Scrub its juicy, Jam-like Raspberry character.

Leaving the World Lusher than we found it.

Organic Almond Oil from Regenerative Producers in Spain helps to improve Soil Fertility across Andalucia, one of the areas in the World most at risk of Desertification.
Our Caster Sugar is produced by British Sugar from Sugar Beet, at least 85% of which is UK grown and the Beet travels just 28 miles from Farm to Factory.

How to use.

Sweep up a scoop and work into wet Skin to scrub and soften. Rinse away and go get yourself a Doughnut you can actually eat.

How to store.

Keep this Scrub sugary sweet for longer by storing with the Lid on between uses.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Caster Sugar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Fragrance, Almond Essential Oil, Carob Resinoid, Vanilla Absolute, Davana Oil, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Lactic Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Lauryl Betaine, Benzyl Alcohol, Limonene, Colour 45410:1, and Colour 17200, I thought that it had a very strange sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly fruity Coconut, Milk and Raspberry scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had melted an entire Bag of Swizzles Raspberry & Milk Squashies into a massive Pan of Coconut Oil.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Scrub, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and marshmallowy yet ever so slightly gritty, and was more like an incredibly thick and marshmallowy yet ever so slightly gritty Soap & Sugar Whipped Scrub rather than a thick and gritty yet ever so slightly creamy Body Scrub.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and marshmallowy yet ever so slightly gritty Soap & Sugar Whipped Scrub into a thick and gritty yet ever so slightly creamy Sugar Scrub that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky smooth, squeaky clean, soft, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of very strange sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly fruity Coconut, Milk and Raspberry for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical clear Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Sufganiyah Sugar Scrub an eight out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and marshmallowy yet ever so slightly gritty consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly fruity Coconut, Milk and Raspberry scent.
