When Lush launched their The Lush Version range, one of the products that I was really excited to try was their Hemp Hand Cream, as the Hemp Hand Protector from The Body Shop is one of my favourite Hand Creams. Unfortunately though, due to them having some issues with the packaging that they wanted to use, it never actually got released. That’s why when I had heard that they had finally released it, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

How to use.
Keep your Mitts soft and supple by smoothing all over your Hands after washing or when they’re feeling parched. Psst! Squeeze me from the bottom, and I’ll keep my shape!
It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Rosemary Infusion, Glycerine, Cold Pressed Hemp Seed Oil, Propylene Glycol, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Hemp Seed Infusion, Organic Linseed Oil, Stearic Acid, Wheatgerm oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Honey, Triethanolamine, Sweet Wild Orange Oil, Hinoki Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Beeswax, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Citral, Limonene, Linalool, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a very strange deep and grassy yet ever so slightly musky Hemp and Wheatgerm scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had accidentally poured some Hemp Seed Oil into a Blender whilst they were making a Wheatgerm Smoothie.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Hand Cream, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily Hand Balm rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Hand Cream.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Hands, it turned from an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily Hand Balm into a thick an oily yet ever so slightly creamy Hand Cream that sank into my Skin within a couple of minutes.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Hands feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, calm, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left them smelling of very strange deep and grassy yet ever so slightly musky Hemp and Wheatgerm for at least ten minutes after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short conical Metallic Tube with a Plastic screw top Lid that fitted really easily into my Pocket.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Hemp Hand Cream an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and grassy yet ever so slightly musky Hemp and Wheatgerm scent.
