With all of the intermittent Weather that we’ve been having lately, plus with me being a little bit more stressed out than normal, my Skin is having one of it’s tantrums where it becomes incredibly dry, rough and dehydrated. This means that i’ve been on the lookout for anything that will return it to it’s usually silky soft, smooth and hydrated feeling former self. That’s why when I saw that The Ordinary had released a Natural Moisturising Factors + Phytoceramides that claims to leave you with silky soft, calm and hydrated Skin whilst I was scrolling through Instagram a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

How to use.
Apply a small amount to your Face in the Morning and Evening.
It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate,Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Glycerin, Propanediol, Polyglyceryl-6 Polyricinoleate, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Polyglyceryl-2 Isostearate, Isosorbide Dicaprylate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Phytosteryl Canola Glycerides, Glycosphingolipids, Glycolipids, Linoleic Acid, Oleic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Arginine, Glycine, Alanine, Serine, Proline, Threonine, Glutamic Acid, Lysine Hcl, Betaine, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Xylitol, Glucose, Maltose, Fructose, Trehalose, Sodium PCA, Pca, Sodium Lactate, Urea, Allantoin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lecithin, Triolein, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Pentylene Glycol, Tocopherol, Hydroxymethoxyphenyl Decanone, Citric Acid, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Magnesium Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Phenoxyethanol, and Chlorphenesin, I thought that it had a very strange sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly metallic Whole Milk scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Glass of Whole Milk over a Pile of some Iron Shavings.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Moisturiser, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Night Cream rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Moisturiser.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Night Cream into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Overnight Face Mask that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, calm, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes, and in some cases actually managed to calm, soothe and hydrate them whenever I was in the middle of a Flare-Up.
It’s packaging.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a tall conical Plastic Tube with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, because of it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy consistency, I found it really hard to get any of it out of it’s Tube.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors + Phytoceramides an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly metallic Whole Milk scent. I also wish that it was available in some kind of a Plastic Tub or Jar so that it was a little bit easier to use.
