I’ve been using Retinol in my Nighttime Skincare Routine for about two years now, and even though I absolutely love using The Ordinary’s Retinol 1% in Squalane, sometimes I just feel like having a little bit of a change and trying something new. That’s why when I saw that The Beauty Worx had released a Retinol Recovery Face Serum whilst I was scrolling through TK Maxx’s website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well I’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Our Retinol Recovery Face Serum helps to reduce the appearance of Age Spots, Fine Lines and Wrinkles.
Fun fact, up until our mid-thirties, our Skin turns over and regenerates every 28 days. But after that Skin turnover slows down and our Cells regenerate every 50 to 70 days, which leads to drier, duller, more wrinkled Skin.
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Polysorbate 20, PEG-16 Macadamia Glycerides, Beta-Glucan, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Inulin, Cellulose, Fructose, Glucose, Cetearyl Alcohol, Retinol, Polysorbate 60, BHT, Phenoxyethanol, and ethylhexylglycerin, I thought that it had a delicious light and delicate yet ever so slightly watery Cucumber scent to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a massive Glass of Cucumber infused Water on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Face Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Facial Gel rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Serum.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Facial Gel into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Serum that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, a little bit younger and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it managed to minimise some of the Fine Lines and Wrinkles that are around my Eyes and Forehead.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate The Beauty Worx Retinol Recovery Face Serum a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious light and delicate yet ever so slightly watery Cucumber scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was also available in some different strengths of Retinol, as given that it doesn’t actually say what percentage of Retinol it contains it probably means that it only contains 0.3% Retinol, and I personally need a Retinol that contains 0.5% Retinol or higher to give any visible results to my Skin.
