Even though i’ve been absolutely loving both Japanese and Korean Skincare lately, and pretty much almost have an entire Routine worth of products. Something I just haven’t gotten around to trying definitely has to be any kind of Japanese or Korean Cleanser, as there’s so many different types to choose from, and my Skin can be quite picky when it comes to a Cleanser. That’s why when I saw that LookFantastic had released a The K-Beauty Edit that contained a Tube of the Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturising Cleanser that claims to leave you with squeaky clean, silky soft, balanced and moisturised Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Round Lab say about their Birch Juice Moisturising Cleanser.

A slightly acidic Cleanser, pH 5.0 – 6.0, that cleanses and prevents over-drying and helps Skin maintain a healthy moisture balance.

Naturally derived Coconut Extract removes Grime and controls Sebum without stripping Skin.
Vita Hyaluronic Acid and Natural Moisturising Factors form a defensive Moisture Barrier to keep hydration in.
Japanese White Birch Juice has a special ability to reduce inflammation, purify, and hydrates Skin with 17 Amino Acids, Minerals, Antioxidants, and Vitamins.
Sweet Wormwood Extract calms and soothes redness while healing Acne and Breakouts.
Roman Chamomile Flower Oil reduces inflammation and irritation.
Hyaluronic Acid pumps up hydration, leading to smooth and radiant Skin.

How to use.

Dispense a sufficient amount on to your Palm and create Bubbles and foams by gently massaging unto Face. Cleanse and rinse thoroughly with Lukewarm Water.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoyl Alaninate, Lauryl Hydroxysultaine, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Japanese White Birch Juice,Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Chloride, Glyceryl Glucoside, Ascorbic Acid, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sweet Wormwood Extract, Roman Chamomile Flower Oil, Scotch Pine Leaf Oil, Soap Bark Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Coco- Glucoside, Glyceryl Caprylate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Hexylene Glycol, Citric Acid, and Disodium EDTA, I thought that it had a very overwhelming deep and woody yet ever so slightly smokey Birch scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had accidentally set Fire to an entire Forest worth of Birch Trees.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Moisturising Cleanser, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly oily Cleansing Gel rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly Moisturising Cleanser.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly oily Cleansing Gel into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly frothy Cleansing Foam that spread really easily across my Face.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, soothed, refreshed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear, a little bit brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a tall conical Plastic Tube with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, because of it’s incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly oily consistency, I would have preferred it if it had come in a Bottle with some kind of a Pump Lid so that I could control exactly how much of it I was using.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturising Cleanser an eight out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly oily consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very overwhelming deep and woody yet ever so slightly smokey Birch scent. I also wish that it had come in a Bottle with some kind of a Pump Lid so that I could control exactly how much of it I was using.
