Some Of The Best Sunscreens Are Always Made In A Korean Lab | Round Lab Birch Juice Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++

Even though I wasn’t a massive fan of the Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturising Cleanser because of it’s very overwhelming deep and woody yet ever so slightly smokey Birch scent, i’ve actually been itching to try some more products from the Brand as I absolutely love discovering new and interesting Japanese and Korean Skincare. That’s why when I saw that the Boots 24 Days Of Skincare 2025 Advent Calendar contained a Tube of the Round Lab Birch Juice Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ that claims to leave you with silky soft, hydrated and protected Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website last year, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Dibutyl Adipate, Propanediol, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Niacinamide, Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol, Coco-Caprylate/ Caprate, Caprylyl Methicone, Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Butylene Glycol, Japanese White Birch Juice, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Glyceryl Glucoside, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Allantoin, Purselane Extract, Sweet Wormwood Extract, Scots Pine Leaf Extract, Chamomile Flower Oil, Acrylates/ C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Ethylhexylglycerin, Ascorbic Acid, Adenosine, Pentylene Glycol, Behenyl Alcohol, Poly C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Decyl Glucoside, Tromethamine, Xanthan Gum, T-Butyl Alcohol, Tocopherol, and Carbomer, I thought that it had a very subtile fresh and watery yet ever so slightly woody Birch scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you walk past a Birch Tree after it’s just finished raining on a balmy Autumn Afternoon.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Sunscreen, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Gel rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Sunscreen.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Gel into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly creamy Facial Serum that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, calm, refreshed, protected, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall conical Plastic Tube with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Round Lab Birch Juice Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s very subtile fresh and watery yet ever so slightly woody Birch scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much bigger Tube, as 50ml of a Sunscreen doesn’t last that long, especially if you’re reapplying it multiple times a day like you’re supposed to do.
