Roaring Out Of Bed In The Morning | Simba Sleep Hybrid® Mattress Topper | Gifted

I’ve always suffered from Insomnia and have tried everything under the Sun to try and get a decent Night’s Sleep, including Aromatherapy, not drinking any Caffeine for several hours before I go to Bed, not using my Phone for several hours before I go to Bed, Sleep Tracking Apps, and even taking Sleep Gummies, but i’ve never really thought about my Mattress. That’s why when the guys over at Simba Sleep very kindly asked me if I would like to try one of their Hybrid® Mattress Toppers, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Simba Sleep say about their Hybrid® Mattress Topper.

Transform any Mattress in any instant with our comfort-boosting Mattress Topper. Unlike a more traditional Memory Foam Mattress Topper, our innovative design combines up to 2,500 ingenious Aerocoil® Springs and a layer of Open-Cell Simbatex® Foam to keep you cooler and more cushioned. Includes a removable, washable Cover.

Why choose a Simba Sleep Hybrid® Mattress Topper?

An easy comfort boost.

Our Mattress Toppers are engineered to deliver an instant boost of extra comfort. For any Mattress, Anywhere.

Inside our Hybrid® Mattress Topper.

Simbatex® Foam.

Our Simbatex® Foam is open-cell, which means it has a less dense structure than traditional Memory Foam, allowing more Airflow. Our Sleep Engineers have also infused it with Graphite, a natural Mineral which draws Heat away from the Body.
It’s free from CFCs and other Environmental Pollutants, while still comfortably exceeding all Fire Safety Regulations.

Simbatex® versus Memory Foam.

An instant upgrade.

Our Hybrid® Mattress Toppers feature the cooling, cushioning tech that we use in our award-winning Mattresses, so it’s a tried and tested way to dial up the comfort.

Better Sleep, anywhere.

Spare Beds, Sofa Beds, or even Inflatable Beds, our Hybrid® Mattress Toppers are easy to roll up for storage or you can take them with you on your Travels to enhance any Bed.

No slipping, no sliding.

We’ve added an anti-slip base and four snug-fit Corner Straps to keep your Mattress Topper firmly in place all night.

Unique to Simba Sleep, the Aerocoil® Spring.

These pocketed Micro Springs are small enough to sit unnoticed towards the surface of your Mattress Topper, offering unrivalled support and increasing airflow. There conical shape also ensures they compress inwards in response to your Weight, limiting the motion between partners if you’re in a twosome.

The coolest Materials for Sleep.

The open-cell structure of our cushioning Simbatex® Foam makes it less dense than standard Memory Foam, and more breathable. We’ve also added an infusion of natural Graphite, which helps conduct excess Heat.
This innovative Foam combines with an airy Aerocoil® Spring layer and a breathable Mesh Border to allow Heat to escape through the Mattress, keeping you cooler and all set for Sleep..

Engineered to be sustainable.

Reduced energy, materials, logistics and no waste.

Made in the UK from 100% Recycled Materials.
Returned Simba Sleep Mattresses are either refurbished or recycled, and our Recycle Service accepts any Brand of Mattress with no purchase necessary.
Packing is up to 60% recycled and from approved FSC sources. All excess Foam is repurposed into things like Carpet Underlay or Pet Beds.
Verified by B Lab to meet high standards of Social and Environmental Performance.

It’s assembly.

I really liked how easy this was to assemble, as once I had removed it from it’s packaging and had placed it on to my existing Mattress, had made sure it was in place by lining it up with the edges of my Mattress, and had hooked it’s very stretchy Corner Straps to the under corners of my Mattress, it was ready to use.

It’s material.

I absolutely loved it’s material, as even though it was made out of Simbatex® Foam that had been infused with Graphite, I thought that it felt incredibly soft and squishy yet ever so slightly firm, and was more like it was made out of an incredibly soft and squishy yet ever so slightly firm Memory Foam rather than a soft and fluffy yet ever so slightly firm Simbatex® Foam and Graphite Blend. I also really liked that even though it contained Aerocoil® Springs, that I couldn’t actually feel them.

It’s size.

I really liked it’s size, as I have a Double sized Bed, and this managed to seamlessly fit my Bed and just moulded itself into and around the edges of my existing Mattress.

It’s comfort.

I really liked how comfortable this was, as one of my main issues when trying to go to Sleep is that I can’t get comfy enough, especially when I lay on my Left Side. But when I laid on this it just felt like I had sunk into a really comfortable brand new Mattress and was able to get instantly comfy even on my Left Side.

My Sleep.

I really liked how well I slept on this, as even though a Mattress isn’t going to give you the best Night’s Sleep you’ve ever had as there’s many different factors that go into that, I did find it a lot easier to drift off, didn’t toss and turn as much as I usually would, didn’t wake up with a crick in my Back or Neck, and did actually wake up feeling refreshed for once.

It’s features.

I really liked it’s features, as I really liked that it’s cover could be removed for whenever I accidentally spilt a Drink on it, and that it allowed more Airflow than a traditional Memory Foam Mattress meaning that I stayed warmer when it was cold outside and cooler when it was warm outside. Plus I use a Heated Blanket in the Winter and I really liked that it managed to retain the Heat for much longer than my existing Mattress. I also really liked that it was free from CFCs meaning that it didn’t harm the Ozone when they were making it, and that it exceeded all Fire Safety Regulations.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came wrapped in a very thick and secure piece of Plastic inside a really thick Cardboard Box that kept it really safe until it had arrived. I also really liked that the Cardboard Box that it came in had some little perforated Handles on the side of it that made it really easy to carry up the Stairs.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Simba Sleep Hybrid® Mattress Topper a nine point five out of ten. I absolutely loved how easy it was to assemble, it’s incredibly soft and squishy yet ever so slightly firm material, it’s size, how comfortable it was, how well I slept when I used it, it’s features, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was a little bit more affordable, as I think that everyone needs to try one.
