I’ve noticed that my Skin has started to become a lot more dehydrated and irritated lately, especially whenever the Seasons start to change or i’ve been using Retinol in my Night Time Skincare Routine. That’s why when I had heard that Superdrug had released a Calm Skin range that claims to calm, soothe and hydrate your Skin as well as re-balance it, I obviously had to check it out. Well after browsing their Website for a good half an hour, I eventually picked up a Tube of the Calm Skin Overnight Face Mask, a Bottle of the Calm Skin De-Stress Balancing Facial Oil, and a Bottle of the Calm Skin De-Stress Refreshing Facial Spritz, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Niacinamide, Almond Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Polyacrylamide, Fragrance, Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Betaine, Shea Butter, Isohexadecane, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Xanthan Gum, Polysorbate 80, Bisabolol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Alcohol, Laureth-7, Hyaluronic Acid, Black Cohosh Root Extract, Sorbitan Oleate, Chamomile Flower Extract, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, and Trisodium EDTA, I thought that it had a very strange fresh and floral yet ever so slightly synthetic Chamomile scent to it that kind of reminded me of a Room full of some Dried Chamomile Petals.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Overnight Face Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Night Cream rather than a thick and heavy yet ever so slightly creamy Overnight Face Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Night Cream into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Overnight Face Mask that set within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for at least an entire 24 hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short fat conical Plastic Tube with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Sunflower Seed Oil, Borage Seed Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, Fragrance, Sacha Inchi Seed Oil, Octyldodecanol, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Tocopherol, Apricot Kernel Oil, Purple Viper Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil Unsaponifiables, and Balloon Plant Flower, Leaf, and Vine Extract, I thought that it had a very strange fresh and floral yet ever so slightly synthetic Chamomile scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent of a Room full of some Dried Chamomile Petals.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Facial Oil, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Serum rather than a thick and oily yet ever so slightly greasy Facial Oil.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Serum into a thin and light yet ever so slightly oily Facial Oil that sank into my Skin within a minute or two.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves. I also really liked that even though it didn’t come with a Pipette or a Pump, it did have a little hole at the top of it’s Bottle that made it really easy to dispense a few Drops rather than the nearly entire Pipette that I normally end up using whenever I use a Facial Oil.

It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Niacinamide, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Trideceth-9, Betaine, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance, Potassium Sorbate, Bisabolol, Propylene Glycol, Alcohol, Chamomile Flower Extract, Black Cohosh Root Extract, Citric Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, and Trisodium EDTA, I thought that it had a very strange fresh and floral yet ever so slightly synthetic Chamomile scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent of a Room full of some Dried Chamomile Petals.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had held it about six inches away from my Face and had started to spray a little bit of it on to my Skin, it released a really fine but powerful mist that totally drenched my Face and Neck within about two Sprays rather than just spitting at me like a lot of the other Facial Mists that i’ve used in the past have done.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for about an hour after I had used it.

My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Superdrug Calm Skin Overnight Face Mask an eight point five out of ten, the Superdrug Calm Skin De-Stress Balancing Facial Oil a nine out of ten, and the Superdrug Calm Skin De-Stress Refreshing Facial Spritz an eight out of ten. I really liked the Superdrug Calm Skin Overnight Face Mask, as I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange fresh and floral yet ever so slightly synthetic Chamomile scent. I really liked the Superdrug Calm Skin De-Stress Balancing Facial Oil, as I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange fresh and floral yet ever so slightly synthetic Chamomile scent.
