The Nostalgic Scent Of The 90s | The Body Shop Dewberry Range

Whenever I ask anyone, “What’s one of your favourite The Body Shop ranges that you wish would make a return?” Nine times out of ten people say Dewberry, as it was that quintessential 90s scent that everybody loved. Unfortunately though, i’ve never actually smelt it. That’s why when I had heard that they had finally rereleased their Dewberry range, I obviously had to pop down to my local The Body Shop store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Bottle of the Dewberry Bath & Shower Gel, a Tub of the Dewberry Body Butter, and a Bottle of the Dewberry Fragrance Mist, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what the Body Shop say about all three amazing products.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Decyl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Coco-Betaine, Fragrance, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Gluconate, Polysorbate 20, Linalool, Acetyl Cedrene, Amyl Cinnamal, Geraniol, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice Powder, Limonene, Citronellol, Terpineol, Benzyl Salicylate, Benzyl Alcohol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Denatonium Benzoate, CI 17200/Red 33, and CI 42090/Blue 1, I thought that it had a delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Dewberry scent to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a Dewberry Martini on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Bath & Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Gel Body Lotion rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Bath & Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Gel Body Lotion into a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly oily Bath & Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Dewberry for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Butter, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Cream rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Body Butter.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Cream into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Body Butter that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Dewberry for hours after I had used it.

It’s longevity.

I really liked how long this lasted on my Skin, as I sprayed a little bit of it on to my Wrists, Neck and Clothes when I was getting ready at about eight o’clock in the morning, and I could still faintly smell it on my Skin and Clothes when I sat down to have a Cup of Tea at about three-thirty in the Afternoon.

It’s packaging.
