The Ordinary Way To Get Cleansed & Hydrated Hair | The Ordinary Haircare Range

One of my favourite Skincare Brands definitely has to be The Ordinary, as I absolutely love that all of their products work exceptionally well on my Skin as well as being incredibly good value for money. That’s why when I had heard that they had released a Haircare range that claims to leave you with cleansed, balanced and hydrated Hair, I obviously had to hop on to their Website and check everything out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up a Bottle of the  Sulphate 4% Cleanser for Body and Hair, a Bottle of the Behentrimonium Chloride 2% Conditioner, and a Bottle of the Natural Moisturising Factors + HA for Scalp, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what The Ordinary say about all three amazing products.

The Ordinary Sulphate 2% Cleanser for Body and Hair.

Our Sulphate 4% Cleanser for Body and Hair offers a gentle approach to effectively cleanse your Body and Hair. The low foaming product contains SLES-2, a milder Sulphate that has been incorporated into the formula to be gentle on the Skin, and cleanse Hair without additional colour fade. The molecular structure of SLES-2 is designed to provide effective cleansing at a lower concentration to minimise concerns with the potential irritation associated with the use of Sulphates.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Polysorbate 20, Xanthan Gum, Tocopherol, Phytic Acid, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Benzyl Alcohol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, and Chlorphenesin, I thought that it had a very strange deep and metallic yet ever so slightly fresh Water scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured some Water into a Metal Flask and then had forgotten about it for a few days.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Cleanser for Body and Hair, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Cleanser for Body and Hair.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin and Hair, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly frothy Cleanser that spread really easily across my Body and Hair.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Hair feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking a lot shinier, extremely volumised and much healthier for at least two days after I had used it. I also really liked that it left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump and intensely hydrated, but I generally preferred to use it as a Shampoo rather than a Body Wash.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall rectangular Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride,Guar Gum, Phytic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, and Chlorphenesin, I thought that it had a very strange deep and metallic yet ever so slightly creamy Yoghurt scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured some Greek Yoghurt into a Metal Bowl and then had forgotten about it for a few days.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Conditioner, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Moisturising Lotion rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Conditioner.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Scalp Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly creamy Scalp Serum.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Scalp, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly milky Scalp Serum that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Hair and Scalp feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left my Hair looking a lot shinier, extremely volumised and much healthier for at least 24 hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate The Ordinary Sulphate 4% Cleanser for Body and Hair a nine out of ten, The Ordinary Behentrimonium Chloride 2% Conditioner a nine out of ten, and The Ordinary Natural Moisturising Factors + HA for Scalp a nine out of ten. I really liked The Ordinary Sulphate 4% Cleanser for Body and Hair, as I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and metallic yet ever so slightly fresh Water scent.
