Five Things I’ve Learnt During The Lockdown

I know that it’s been incredibly difficult for everyone lately, as being on lockdown has meant that we haven’t been able to do a lot of the things that we would usually be able to do and have instead been told to stay at Home to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus. Well even though it’s been a very difficult time, i’ve actually learnt a few things about myself and other people during the Lockdown, and I thought that I would tell you five of them..

Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, here’s five things that i’ve learn during the Lockdown.

1. That people are amazing.

I’ve always known that people can be amazing, but the Key Workers like anyone who works for the NHS, anyone who works in Food Packing, Distribution or Selling, and people who are generally keeping the Country running are just amazing, as they’ve put themselves in harms way to ensure that our lives are kept as uninterrupted as they possibly can and that we are still able to access a Hospital if we unfortunately need to, buy Food and necessities, and are keeping the Country going so that once the Lockdown is eventually lifted, that things can go back to normal, whatever that is, as smoothly as possible.

2. That people are idiots.

Similarly, i’ve always known that people can be idiots, but it’s become increasingly obvious during the lockdown that some people are just utter morons. Because even though we’ve been told to stay indoors, to social distance, to only go out for an hour a day to exercise and not to meet up with other people as we could risk transmitting the virus to people and staying in Lockdown for much longer, some people have ignored these rules and have been seen having parties, meeting up with their friends, and generally ignoring just how serious the Corona Virus is.

3. That i’ve coped with being in isolation a lot better than I thought I would be able to.

I’ve never been the biggest Social Butterfly in the World and would generally prefer not to leave the House unless I really need to, so being told not to leave the House unless necessary wasn’t that big of a deal to me, especially as I already live with my Mum who does all of the Shopping anyway. In fact, I don’t think i’ve left the House since about the 3rd of March, and that was only to visit my local Barbers to get my Hair and Beard trimmed which is only a two minute Walk away from my House.

4. That I have a much higher tolerance for irritation than I thought I had.

Being on Lockdown has meant that my Family who are usually out of the House about 80% of the time, have been stuck at Home with me, and even though I love my Family they do tend to get on my nerves by moving things around and just generally getting in my way. However, it turns out that I have a much higher tolerance for being constantly irritated than I thought I had. The only real problem that i’ve had is my younger Brother screaming and shouting when playing on his PS4 after he’s finished his School Work for the day, but luckily threatening to pause his Internet through the Sky Broadband Buddy App that I discovered before entering the Lockdown seems to work a treat, haha!

5. That I have a much bigger addiction to Social Media than I thought I had.

I’ve always had a mild addiction to Social Media, as with me being a Blogger it’s one of my main sources of inspiration and is a great tool for promoting my Posts and connecting with other Brands, readers and Bloggers. But during the Lockdown i’ve noticed that i’ve been checking my Phone and scrolling through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram a whole lot more than I usually would, especially Instagram, as with everyone being in the same situation, there’s a lot more Instagram Stories and Livestreams for me to watch.

There’s a lot more things that i’ve learn during the Lockdown, but I just thought that i would tell you five of them.

What’s some of the things that you’ve learnt during the lockdown? How have you dealt with being in Isolation? What’s some of the things that you plan on doing once it’s all over and done with? Please let me know down below.
