Scrubbing Myself Clean | Lush Dirty Body Scrub & Easy Peeler Body Scrub

I absolutely love having beautifully soft and smooth Skin that also smells incredible. That’s why when I went to Lush Liverpool Spa a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to stop by their Body Care Department and check out all of the exclusive Body Scrubs that they had on offer. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up the Dirty Body Scrub and the Easy Peeler Body Scrub, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about both amazing Body Scrubs.

The Dirty Body Scrub.

Take this into the shower with you when you’re feeling dirty to scrub your way to soft and tingly-clean freshness!
The green half of this pseudo-sponge is packed with sugar and cupuacu butter for a thoroughly good scrub. This will leave you feeling smooth and soft as it buffs away dry skin and packs in moisture. The flip side, in cheery yellow, has a much finer scrub of ground rice and will condition the skin thanks to a blend of cupuacu and vitamin E rich sunflower oil and wax.
If you scour the ingredients you will find plenty of spearmint, great for enlivening the mind and leaving you feeling fresh and clean. This crisp sharpness is filled out with a deeply herbal blend of thyme and sandalwood that gives this fragrance a lasting woody heart and leaves you feeling fresher for longer.

The Easy Peeler Body Scrub.

You’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for this one. This apeeling scrub blends uplifting citrus, natural exfoliators and beautiful butters together in one gloriously naked handful. Buff over wet skin in the bath or shower to vitamin C what all the fuss is about!
The cheery trio of juicy Sicilian mandarin oil, bergamot and tangerine oil are extracted from the peel of citrus fruits and are perfect for improving the mood and lifting your spirits. They also provide a wonderfully toned and refreshed feeling to the skin.
Granulated sugar gives an effective scrubby texture ideal to smooth the skin. To ensure that you’re silky soft as well as smooth, cocoa butter and shea butter pack in the moisture and ensure you leave the shower feeling bright and beautiful. There is also some apricot kernel oil, mango butter and orange peel wax added to the mix, which will ensure your skin is left feeling comfortable and protected.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Granulated Sugar, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Cupuacu Butter, Ground Rice, Organic Shea Butter, Sunflower Wax, Sunflower Oil, Spearmint Oil, Menthol Crystals, and Thyme Oil, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly herbal Peppermint scent to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a White Peppermint Mocha at Christmas.

What it did when I used it.

I absolutely loved what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, one side of it started to release lots of tiny pieces of harsh and gritty Granulated Sugar, and the other side started to release lots of pieces of incredibly fine and gritty yet ever so slightly oily Rice Powder that blended together to give my Skin a really deep and harsh yet incredibly moisturising Scrub.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly herbal Peppermint for hours after I had used it.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Dirty Body Scrub a nine out of ten and the Lush Easy Peeler Body Scrub a nine out of ten. I really liked the Lush Dirty Body Scrub, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly herbal Peppermint scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I did find that it got used up extremely quickly.
