A Scrub Is A Guy That Can’t Get No Love From Me | Lush X Community Body Scrub 2025 Range | Gifted

I absolutely love stepping out of the Bath or Shower with incredibly silky soft, smooth and hydrated Skin, which is why I always use some kind of Chemical Exfoliant, Salt Scrub, or Sugar Scrub in my Body Care Routine. That’s why when the guys over at Lush very kindly asked me if I would like to try some of their x Community Body Scrub 2025 range that contains five limited edition Sugar-based Body Scrubs that have been chosen by the Lush Discord Community, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using them for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about all three delicious smelling products.

The Lush Botanomancy Body Scrub.

A ritual for soft, smooth Skin.
What Sorcery is this? A supernaturally good blend of Patchouli Oil, Castor Sugar and Chlorophyllin Powder work their Magic to reveal fresh, new Skin and a grounded Mind.

What’s in it for you?

  • Read the Signs, Sandalwood and Patchouli help you feel centred and powerful.
  • Castor Sugar gives this indulgent Scrub a firm, marshmallowy texture, balanced with creamy Butters to hydrate the Skin.
  • We combine beautiful Essential Oils with Plant Oils and Butters to form a rich Dough, sprinkled with Castor Sugar. This is then moulded by Hand into a Dough with each colour carefully twisted into a swirl.
  • As you scoop and smooth, the Warm Water from your Shower helps disperse the Sugar Particles and beautiful Butters across your Skin, making it go that little bit further. It’s a kinda Magic.

Our Dark Sumatran Patchouli is produced in collaboration with Gayo Lues Permaculture Centre. Our supplier works with Farmers to grow and process this special Plant in ways that offer alternatives to Deforestation and in harmony with one of the last wild Homes of the Orangutans.
Made with Sandalwood from Responsibly Managed Forests in West Timor, where our reforestation efforts ensure more Trees are planted than harvested.
Our Organic Fair Trade Cocoa Butter supports Smallholder Farmers and local communities.

The Lush The Comforter Body Scrub.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Castor Sugar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Illipe Butter, Fair Trade Organic Mango Butter, Fragrance, Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oil, Pimento Berry Oil, Petitgraine Oil, Ginger Oil, West Timor Sandalwood Oil, Celery Seed Oil, Lactic Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Lauryl Betaine, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Coumarin, Eugenol, Isoeugenol, Limonene, Linalool, Chlorophyllin, Colour 47005:1, and Colour 42090:2, I thought that it had a very strange deep and smokey yet ever so slightly zesty Patchouli scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had accidentally set Fire to a Patchouli Bush.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Scrub, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and marshmallowy yet ever so slightly gritty, and was more like an incredibly thick and marshmallowy yet ever so slightly gritty Soap & Sugar Whipped Scrub rather than a thick and gritty yet ever so slightly creamy Body Scrub.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and marshmallowy yet ever so slightly gritty Soap & Sugar Whipped Scrub into a thick and gritty yet ever so slightly creamy Sugar Scrub that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky smooth, squeaky clean, soft, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of very strange deep and smokey yet ever so slightly zesty Patchouli for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical clear Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Botanomancy Body Scrub a seven point five out of ten, the Lush Creamy Candy Body Scrub a nine out of ten, and the Lush The Comforter Body Scrub a nine point five out of ten. I really liked the Lush Botanomancy Body Scrub, as I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and marshmallowy yet ever so slightly gritty consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and smokey yet ever so slightly grassy Patchouli scent. I really liked the Lush Creamy Candy Body Scrub, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly fruity Bubblegum scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Vanilla Absolute. I really liked the Lush The Comforter Body Scrub, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly grassy Blackcurrant scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was part of their main range.
