Spraying Myself Clean | Lush Dirty Body Spray

Even though I absolutely love Lush, one of their scent ranges that i’ve never been able to totally get on board with has to be their Dirty Fragrance, as i’ve never really been a massive fan of anything that smells of Mint. Strangely though, after their Father’s Day 2020 range i’ve really grown to like it, and have been searching for anything in their permanent range that has a similar scent. That’s why when I saw that they had released a Dirty Body Spray whilst I was browsing through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Lush say about their Dirty Body Spray.

Blow away the cobwebs with this fresh Fragrance.

Scent description.

In need of a quick pick me up? Embrace a sophisticated mix of revitalising Spearmint, mood-boosting Neroli and woody Sandalwood Oil. Refresh and reset with every spritz, as peppery Tarragon Oil and aromatic Thyme hits you like a breath of fresh Air.

You’ll love this if you like.

  • Minty fresh Fragrances.
  • The Dirty Wash Card, the Dirty Perfume, or the Dirty Solid Perfume.
  • Getting a little unruly.

Inspired by the spritz and dash option for busy people who don’t always have time for an indulgent Shower before their day begins.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained DRF Alcohol, Water, Fragrance, Glycerin, Spearmint Oil, Tarragon Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Lavender Absolute, Neroli Oil, Thyme Absolute, Coumarin, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Hydroxycitronellal, and Oakmoss Extract, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly herbal Mint scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent of a Bunch of freshly picked Mint Leaves.

It’s longevity.

I really liked how long this lasted on my Skin, as I sprayed a little bit of it on to my Wrists, Neck and Clothes when I was getting ready at about eight o’clock in the morning, and I could still faintly smell it on my Skin and Clothes when I returned home at about six o’clock in the evening. I also really liked that it was one of those scents that eventually kind of blended into the background, as even though I could smell it all day, I kept getting little bursts of fresh minty fragrance every so often.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall Black Plastic Kitchen Spray Bottle with a very tough lockable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Dirty Body Spray a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly herbal Mint scent, it’s longevity, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit stronger as it’s actually quite hard to find a Mint Fragrance that lasts all day and doesn’t just smell of very synthetic Mint Chewing Gum.
