I absolutely love to cleanse my Skin at the end of a long day with a Cleansing Balm and a Microfibre Cloth, as it manages to get rid of every single scrap of dirt, grime and SPF that i’ve been wearing with very minimal effort. Unfortunately though, I can never seem to find a Cleansing Balm that isn’t ridiculously overpriced, as with them containing a blend of several different Butters and Oils including Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, and Moringa Oil they’re usually pretty expensive. That’s why when I saw that Aldi had released a Lacura Cleansing Balm whilst I was doing my weekly Food Shop a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Isononyl Isononanoate, Sweet Almond Oil, Tripelargonin, PEG-40 Sorbitan Peroleate, Sunflower Seed Wax, C10-18 Triglycerides, Vegetable Oil, Fragrance, Mango Seed Butter, Tocopherol, Shea Butter, Cocoa Seed Butter, Moringa Seed Oil, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Beta-Sitosterol, Lecithin, Propylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Vegetable Glycerides Citrate, Squalene, Soybean Oil, Citral, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, and Linalool, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly zesty Mango scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you cut into a perfectly ripened Mango.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Cleansing Balm, I thought that it felt incredibly rich and buttery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly rich and buttery yet ever so slightly balmy block of Solid Cocoa Butter rather than a soft and creamy yet ever so slightly buttery Cleansing Balm.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly rich and buttery yet ever so slightly balmy Block of Solid Cocoa Butter into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Cleansing Oil that spread really easily across my Face. I also really liked that once I had started to add a little bit of Water to it, that it turned from an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Cleansing Oil into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly creamy Cleansing Milk that was really easy to remove.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for at least an hour after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Aldi Lacura Cleansing Balm a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly zesty Mango scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was part of their main range as a good and affordable Cleansing Balm isn’t that easy to find.
