Tattooing The Soothing Power Of Oats Into My Skin | The INKEY List Oat Cleansing Balm

From their Hyaluronic Acid Serum, to their Bio-Active Repairing & Plumping Ceramide Moisturiser, i’ve been absolutely loving all of The INKEY List’s Skincare. But one of their products that i’ve been meaning to try for a while now definitely has to be one of their Cleansers, as everyone has been raving about them lately. That’s why when I saw that Boots had released a Fresh Faced Favourites Skincare Edit that contained a Tube of The INKEY List Oat Cleansing Balm that claims to leave you with squeaky clean, soothed and hydrated Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Sweet Almond Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, candelilla Wax, Oat Kernel Oil, Sorbitan Stearate, Silica, Tribehenin, PEG-60 Almond Glycerides, Oat Kernel Flour, Water, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol,  Lecithin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Tocopherol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Biosaccharide Gum-4, and Sunflower Seed Oil, I thought that it had a delicious deep and malty yet ever so slightly creamy Oat scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bag of Rolled Oats.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Cleansing Balm, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily Styling Paste rather than a thick and buttery yet ever so slightly oily Cleansing Balm.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly oily Styling Paste into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Cleansing Balm that spread really easily across my Face.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, a little bitt brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a tall conical Plastic Tube with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, I would have preferred it if it had come in some kind of a Plastic Tub so that I could control exactly how much of it I was using.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate The INKEY List Oat Cleansing Balm a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and malty yet ever so slightly creamy Oat scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had come in some kind of a Plastic Tub so that I could control exactly how much of it I was using.
