Even though everyone has been raving about the Weleda Skin Food lately, i unfortunately haven’t managed to try it yet as every time I go into a store to pick a Tube of it up, it’s either out of stock or the display has been severely picked over. That’s why when I saw that Aldi had released a Moisturising Cream range that claims to be inspired by Weleda Skin Food whilst I was doing my Weekly Food Shop a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to check everything out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up a Tube of Lacura Thin Moisturising Cream, and a Tube of Lacura Rich Moisturising Cream, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

The Aldi Lacura Light Moisturising Cream.
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Sunflower Seed Oil, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Alcohol Denat., Lanolin, Glycerin, Sweet Almond Oil, Fragrance, Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate, Beeswax, Magnesium Sulfate, Polyglyceryl-6 Oleate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Saccharide Isomerate, Caprylyl Glycol, Arginine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Calendula Flower Extract, Pansy Extract, Roman Chamomile Flower Extract, Citric Acid, Sodium Citrate, Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Hydroxide, Limonene, and Linalool, I thought that it had a delicious deep and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bottle of Orange Juice.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Light Moisturiser, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Night Cream rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Light Moisturiser.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Night Cream into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Day Cream that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, refreshed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall conical Plastic Tube with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Glycereth-26, Propanediol, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide, Betaine, Sodium Hyaluronate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Trideceth-9, Fragrance, Allantoin, Sweet Orange Fruit Water, Cucumber Fruit Water, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice Powder, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Benzophenone-4, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Golden Kiwi Fruit Extract, Mandarin Fruit Extract, Cucumber Fruit Extract, Sodium Hydroxide, Irish Moss Extract, Spearmint Leaf Extract, Tiger Grass Leaf Extract, Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Red Algae Extract, Citric Acid, Polysorbate 20, Bergamot Fruit Oil, Benzyl Alcohol, Citronellol, Geraniol, and Limonene, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly minty Irish Moss scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you walk through a Forest after it’s just rained.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Rich Moisturiser, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and heavy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and heavy yet ever so slightly oily Overnight Face Mask rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Rich Moisturiser.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and heavy yet ever so slightly balmy Overnight Face Mask into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Night Cream that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, refreshed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, a little bit younger and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Aldi Lacura Light Moisturising Cream a nine out of ten, and the Aldi Lacura Rich Moisturising Cream a nine point five out of ten. I really liked the Aldi Lacura Light Moisturising Cream, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Orange scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was part of their main range. I really liked the Aldi Lacura Rich Moisturising Cream, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly minty Irish Moss scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was part of their main range.

Yes, it’s a great moisturiser. It just does nothing for my Skin.
