Whenever my Skin is feeling particularly rough, dry or dehydrated, I love nothing more than slapping on a good Exfoliating or Hydrating Face Mask and letting it work it’s magic whilst I either relax or potter around the House. That’s why when I saw that Aldi had released a Lacura Weekend Mode Exfoliating Mask and a Lacura Wonderlust Rescue Mask whilst I was doing my weekly Food Shop a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick them both up. Well i’ve been using them for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

The Aldi Lacura Weekend Mode Exfoliating Mask.

The Aldi Lacura Weekend Mode Exfoliating Mask.
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Apricot Seed Powder, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Pumpkin Fruit Ferment Filtrate, Phenoxyethanol, Glycerin, Carbomer, Fragrance, Oat Kernel Extract, Benzophenone-4, Shea Butter, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Potassium Hydroxide, Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Potassium Palmitoyl Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Disodium EDTA, 2-Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1-3-Diol, Sodium Benzoate, Benzyl Alcohol, CI 19140, and CI 15510, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly zesty Pumpkin scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you carve into a perfectly ripened Pumpkin.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Exfoliating Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and gritty yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like an incredibly thin and gritty yet ever so slightly creamy Face Scrub rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty Exfoliating Face Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and gritty yet ever so slightly creamy Face Scrub into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty Exfoliating Mask that set within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clearer and much healthier for at least 24 hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall conical Plastic Tube with a metallic screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Shea Butter, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Niacinamide, Glyceryl Stearate, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Citric Acid, 3-0-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Bisabolol, Aluminum Starch Octemylsuccinate, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Squalane, Fragrance, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Potassium Hydroxide, Ceramide NP, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sweet Chestnut Seed Extract, Cholesterol, Ceramide AP, Phytosphingosine, Wild Mint Leaf Oil, Carbomer, Sodium Chloride, Peppermint Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Orange Peel Oil, Ceramide EOP, Linalool, Limonene, and Citronellol, I thought that it had a delicious light and delicate yet ever so slightly zesty Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of being sat under an Orange Tree on a balmy Spring Afternoon.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Rescue Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Night Cream rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Rescue Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Night Cream into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Overnight Face Mask that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for at least 24 hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall conical Plastic Tube with a metallic screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Aldi Lacura Weekend Mode Exfoliating Mask an eight out of ten, and the Aldi Lacura Wonderlust Rescue Mask a nine out of ten. I really liked the Aldi Lacura Weekend Mode Exfoliating Mask, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly zesty Pumpkin scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had also contained some kind of Exfoliating Acids, like Glycolic, Lactic, or maybe even Tartaric to give my Skin an even better exfoliation. I really liked the Aldi Lacura Wonderlust Rescue Mask, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious light and delicate yet ever so slightly zesty Orange scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was part of their main range.
