I absolutely love discovering new and interesting Beard Balms and Beard Oils, especially if they contain a blend of ingredients or scents that I haven’t seen before in a Beard Care product. That’s why when I saw that Beard Monsters had released a Liquorice & Blackcurrant Beard Balm & Beard Oil Combo whilst I was scrolling through Instagram a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s how our Beard Oils help your Beard.
Apricot Kernel Oil – Is rich in Omega 3 and provides protection and moisture and also has a high Vitamin E content that leaves the Hair soft and shiny and prevents Beard Dandruff.
Crambe Seed Oil -Is easily absorbed by your Beard Hair and also has anti fungal properties, this Oil also helps to detangle Hair and locks in moisture to prevent dehydration.
Jojoba Oil – Although in Oil form is actually a form of liquid Wax Esters which are non greasy and great for Beard Itch and Hair strength, it’s a truly magnificent ingredient that leaves your Beard softer, fuller and tamer.

How to use.

Splash your Face with Warm Water and dry your Beard.

Apply the desired amount of Oil into your Palms and rub together.
Apply to your Beard ensuring an even coverage, rubbing into your Beard and the Skin underneath and comb through styling as needed.

Stubble: 2 drops.

Small Beard: 2 to 3 drops.

Medium Beard: 3 to 4 drops.

Long Beard: 6+ drops, depending on personal preference.

The Beard Monsters Liquorice & Blackcurrant Beard Balm.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Beeswax, Fragrance, Eugenol, and Limonene, I thought that it had a delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly Blackcurrant and Liquorice scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had soaked some Liquorice Leaves in a massive Jug of Blackcurrant Juice.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Beard Balm, I thought that it felt incredibly rich and creamy yet ever so slightly waxy, and was more like an incredibly rich and creamy yet ever so slightly waxy Styling Wax rather than a thick and balmy yet ever so slightly waxy Beard Balm.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had scooped some of it out of it’s Tin and had started to massage it into my Beard, it turned from an incredibly rich and creamy yet ever so slightly waxy Styling Wax into a thick and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Beard Balm that spread really easily through my Beard.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Beard feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy, thicker, fuller, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking a lot shinier, kept it in place all day and left it smelling of delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly grassy Blackcurrant and Liquorice for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Metal Tin with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Apricot Kernel Oil, Crambe Seed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Fragrance, Eugenol, and Limonene, I thought that it had a delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly grassy Blackcurrant and Liquorice scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had soaked some Liquorice Leaves in a massive Jug of Blackcurrant Juice.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Beard Oil, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Serum rather than a thick and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Beard Oil.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Beard, it turned from an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Serum into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Beard Oil that spread really easily through my Beard.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Beard and the Skin underneath and around it feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy, thicker, fuller, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking a lot shinier, much healthier and smelling of delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly grassy Blackcurrant and Liquorice for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Beard Monsters Liquorice & Blackcurrant Beard Balm a nine out of ten, and the Beard Monsters Liquorice & Blackcurrant Beard Oil a nine point five out of ten. I really liked the Beard Monsters Liquorice & Blackcurrant Beard Balm, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly grassy Blackcurrant & Liquorice scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Liquorice. I really liked the Beard Monsters Liquorice & Blackcurrant Beard Oil, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly grassy Blackcurrant & Liquorice scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Liquorice.
