B! Is For Brightening! | B. Brightening Toner

Even though i’ve been obsessed with any kind of Milky or Rice Toner lately, I still occasionally like to use a traditional Acid or Enzymatic Toner whenever my Skin is feeling particularly dry, rough and dull. That’s why when I saw that Superdrug had released a B. Brightening Toner that claims to use a blend of AHA, BHA and Fruit Acids to leave you with silky smooth, hydrated and glowing-looking Skin whilst I was out Shopping a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A tall cylindrical bright white plastic bottle with a bright pink plastic lid and a gradient bright pink and white label that has B. written in bright white writing, Brightening Toner written in bold black writing, and a picture of a bright pink stripe on it, on a white background.

How to use.

Apply daily. Add to a Cotton Round or a Reusable Pad, and sweep over cleansed, dry Skin.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Propanediol, Glycerin, Lactic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Salicylic Acid, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glycolic Acid, Sodium Gluconate, Sodium Levulinate, Bilberry Fruit Extract, Fragrance, Sugarcane Extract, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Orange Fruit Extract, Lemon Fruit Extract, Biosaccharide Gum-2, Sugar Maple Extract, Malic Acid, Tartaric Acid, Citronellol, and Limonene, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly bitter Orange and Lemon scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you juice some freshly-picked Oranges and Lemons.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Toner, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Toner.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had poured a little bit of it on to a Reusable Cotton Round and had started to swipe it across my Face, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Toner that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky smooth, squeaky clean, soft, soothed, refreshed, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear, a little bit brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the B. Brightening Toner a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly bitter Orange and Lemon scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had contained a little bit more Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid and Glycolic Acid to leave my Skin feeling even smoother.
