I absolutely love using some kind of a Cleansing Oil in my Skincare Routine, especially during the Winter when my Skin is feeling incredibly dry, dehydrated and dull, as it’s a really easy way for me to add a little bit more hydration to my Skin without actually doing anything. That’s why when I saw that the Holland and Barrett 2024 Beauty Advent Calendar contained a Bottle of the Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Brightening Cleansing Oil that claims to leave you with squeaky clean, silky soft, hydrated and glowing-looking Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Super Facialist say about their Vitamin C+ Brightening Cleansing Oil.

How to use.

Massage onto dry Skin (we recommend taking your time with this and really enjoying the beautiful aroma) then add a splash of Water to transform the Oil into a light Milk. Rinse with Lukewarm Water or a Damp Flannel and pat Skin dry.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sunflower Seed Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Laureth-3, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Fragrance, Raspberry Seed Oil, Triethyl Citrate, Passionflower Seed Oil, Dog Rose Fruit Oil, Bitter Orange Peel Oil, Limonene, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Cucumber Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Citral, Tetramethyl Acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, and Hydroxycitronellal, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly floral Satsuma scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you peel a perfectly ripened Satsuma.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Cleansing Oil, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly milky, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly milky Essence rather than a thick and oily yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Oil.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly milky Essence into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Oil that spread really easily across my Face. I also really liked that once I had added a little bit of Water to it, that it turned from an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Oil into a thin and milky yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing milk that was really easy to remove.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really like that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, I would have preferred it if it had come in a Bottle with some kind of a Pump Lid so that I could control exactly how much of it I was using.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Super Facialist Vitamin C+ Brightening Cleansing Oil an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly floral Tangerine scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had come in a Bottle with some kind of a Pump Lid so that I could control exactly how much of it I was using.
