I’m always trying to include more Vegan and Cruelty Free Skincare in my Skincare Routine, especially when i’m having an Eczema Flare-Up, as the less Chemicals and Preservatives I use the quicker it calms down. That’s why when I saw that the Holland and Barrett 2024 Beauty Advent Calendar contained a Bottle of the Balmonds Super 7 Serum that claims to leave you with silky soft, calm and hydrated Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of months ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Vegetable Glycerin, Niacinamide, Epsom Salt, Inulin, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Citric Acid, Borage extract, Rosehip extract, Sea Buckthorn extract, Bladderwrack Seaweed extract, and Dehydroacetic Acid, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly oceanic Rose and Seaweed scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Jug of Seawater over a massive Bouquet of freshly picked Roses.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Facial Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Blemish Gel rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Facial Serum.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Blemish Gel into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Facial Serum that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, calm and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Glass Bottle with a metallic Pump Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Balmonds Super 7 Serum a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly oceanic Rose and Seaweed scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had contained some other ingredients, like Ceramides, Cica, or maybe even Peptides to leave my Skin feeling even calmer.
