As you probably already know, I absolutely love a nice Cup of Tea, but lately i’ve been really enjoying drinking Coffee and have been on the lookout for some new and interesting Coffee’s to try. That’s why when the guys over at Batch very kindly asked me if I would like to try one of their Coffee Club Subscription Boxes that contains two Bags of speciality Coffee from some of the best Coffee producers in the UK, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been drinking my way through it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s brewing time.
It said that you were supposed to brew this for four minutes at 100ºC, which I thought was the perfect amount of time, as whenever I brewed it for any less I thought that it tasted incredibly weak and basically just tasted of really sweet Sugar Water, and that whenever I brewed it for any longer that it tasted extremely sour and just tasted of burnt Chocolate.
It’s taste.
I absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained notes of Dried Apricot, Warm Chocolate Brownie, and Caramel, I thought that it had a delicious deep and chocolatey yet ever so slightly sweet Mocha taste to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a massive Cup of freshly brewed Mocha topped with a Caramel Drizzle on a freezing cold Winter’s Day.
It’s packaging.
I really liked its packaging, as this came in a massive Compostable Paper Pouch which meant that all of the Coffee Beans stayed extremely fresh and didn’t lose any of their delicious flavour.

It’s taste.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s taste, as even though it contained notes of Dark Chocolate, Sugar Cane, and Mango, I thought that it had a very strange deep and bitter yet ever so slightly fruity Tobacco taste to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had accidentally dropped a Cigarette into a massive Mug of freshly brewed Coffee.

I really liked it’s packaging, as both Pouches of Coffee came packaged in a really thick Cardboard Box with a Flavour Wheel Card and a Brewing Instruction Guide that I thought felt really professional and would be perfect to give to someone as a Gift.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Batch Coffee Club Subscription Box an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved that it contained two delicious tasting Coffees for me to try, as I thought that it was a really nice way for me to discover some new and interesting Coffees. I also really liked that it came with a Flavour Wheel Card and a Brewing Guide in a really professional feeling Box that would be perfect to give to someone as a Gift. I did however think that it would be great if they also offered some kind of Basic Brewing Equipment in the first Box instead of two massive Pouches of Coffee though, as even though you could technically brew them any way that you like, it would be nice to be able to brew them the way that the producer intended you to.
