With me having Combination and Eczema-prone Skin, i’ve been absolutely loving the influx of Japanese and Korean Skincare lately, especially on mainstream Websites like Boots and Superdrug, as I think that it makes it really accessible for everyone to try. That’s why when I had heard that Boots had included quite a lot of products from Curél in one of their £10 Tuesday offers a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to hop on to their Website and check everything out. Well after scrolling through their Website for a good half an hour, I eventually picked up a Bottle of the Curél Hydrating Water Essence, and a Bottle of the Curél Anti-Wrinkle Hydrating Serum, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Betaine, Methyl Gluceth-20, PEG-32, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Allantoin, Succinic Acid, Arginine, Eucalyptus Leaf Extract, and Methylparaben, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly medicinal Blackcurrant scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bottle of Blackcurrant Cordial.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Facial Essence, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Facial Essence.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Facial Essence that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, refreshed, plump, bouncy. and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, a little bit brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes, and in some cases actually managed to calm, sooth and hydrate them whenever I was in the middle of a Flare-up
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall flattened cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a Pump Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Peg-32, Cetyl-PG, Hydroxyethyl, Palmitamide, Dimethicone, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Behenate, Butylene Glycol, Allantoin, Phytosphingosine, Glutamic Acid, Polyquaternium-52, Ginger Root Extract, Eucalyptus Leaf Extract, and Methylparaben, I thought that it had a very subtile sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly spicy Ginger scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Jug of Milk over a few pieces of Grated Ginger.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Facial Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Facial Lotion rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Facial Serum.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Facial Lotion into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Milk that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, a little bit younger and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it managed to visibly minimise some of the Fine Lines and Wrinkles that I have around my Eyes and Forehead, and that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Tube with a Pump Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Curél Hydrating Water Essence a nine out of ten, and the Curél Anti-Wrinkle Hydrating Serum a nine out of ten. I really liked the Curél Hydrating Water Essence, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly medicinal Blackcurrant scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much smaller Bottle, as 150ml of a Facial Essence lasts quite a long time, and I think that if it was available in a much smaller Bottle at a cheaper price, then a lot more people would try it. I really liked the Curél Anti-Wrinkle Hydrating Serum, as I absolutely loved it’s very subtile sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly spicy Ginger scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much bigger Bottle, as 30ml of a Hydrating Serum doesn’t last that long, especially if you’re using it Morning and Evening like you’re supposed to do.
