I’ve unfortunately suffered with Patches of Eczema underneath my Eyes for years now, but recently i’ve started to notice little Patches of it appearing on my Hands, Neck and underneath my Beard too, which means that i’ve been on the lookout for any kind of Cream, Ointment or Serum that will return it to it’s usually silky-soft, soothed, calm and hydrated-feeling former self. That’s why when the guys over at BioGaia very kindly asked me if I would like to try a Tube of their Aldermis Baby Ointment that claims to contain a blend of Probiotics and Natural Ingredients to leave you with silky soft, soothed, calm and hydrated Skin, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

How to use.
Dab a very small amount of Ointment anywhere your Baby has dry or Sensitive Skin. Use twice daily or as needed.
It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Shea Butter, Canola Oil, Hydrogenated Rapeseed Oil, and Lactobacillus, I thought that it had a very strange deep and creamy yet ever so slightly sweet Semi-Skimmed Milk and Cardboard scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Carton of Long Life Semi-Skimmed Milk.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Ointment, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Hand Balm rather than a thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Ointment.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Hand Balm into a thick and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Ointment that sank into my Skin within a matter of minutes.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, calm, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised ,but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, less red and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes, and in some cases actually managed to sooth, calm and hydrate them whenever I was in the middle of an Eczema Flare-Up.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short comical Metallic Tube with a Plastic screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the BioGaia Aldermis Baby Ointment a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and creamy yet ever so slightly sweet Semi-Skimmed Milk and Cardboard scent. I also wish that it was available in a much bigger Tube, as 23g of an Ointment doesn’t really last that long, especially if you’re in the middle of an Eczema Flare-Up and are applying it multiple times a day like you’re supposed to do.
