One of my favourite SPF discoveries from last year definitely had to be the Bioré UV Aqua Water Essence SPF50+, and i’ve been itching to try more from the Brand ever since. Unfortunately though, they are a Japanese-based Brand and don’t have that wide of a range available here in the UK. That’s why when Jamie visited Hong Kong a couple of weeks ago, I asked him if he wouldn’t mind picking me up anything else that he managed to find from the Brand. Well after wandering around Lung Fung for a good half an hour, he eventually found a Bottle of the Bioré UV Aqua Rich Aqua Protect Lotion SPF50+ PA++++, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Ethanol, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Glycerin, Ethylhexyltriazone, Silica, Hexyl Diethylaminohydroxybenzoylbenzoate, Glyceryl Stearate, Bisethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyltriazine, Dextrin Palmitate, Canten, Cellulose, Acrylates /Alkyl Acrylate C10-30 Crosspolymer, Polysilicone-9, Sodium Hydroxide, Royal Jelly Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Phenoxyethanol, EDTA, BHT, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a very subtile sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly resinous Honey and Milk scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had dropped a Teaspoon of Honey into a massive Glass of Whole Milk.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an SPF Lotion, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Milk rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily SPF Lotion.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Milk into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily SPF Lotion that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, calm, protected, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, a little bit brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a twistable Lid and a Nozzle Applicator that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Bioré UV Aqua Rich Aqua Protect Lotion SPF50+ PA++++ a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s very subtile sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly resinous Honey and Milk scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it, and a lot more of Bioré’s SPF range were available to buy in the UK.
