I Adoré Having Hydrated & Protected Skin | Bioré UV Aqua Water Essence SPF 50

Whether i’m just pottering around the House, sat in the Front Room watching Kiwi, or am actually leaving the House to do something, I always include some kind of an SPF in my Skincare Routine, as even in the UK we’re still susceptible to the Sun’s harmful UV Rays. That’s why when I saw that Bioré had released a UV Aqua Water Essence SPF 50 that claims to leave you with silky soft, hydrated and protected Skin whilst I was scrolling through Superdrug’s Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A short flat conical light blue plastic tube with a dark blue plastic lid that has Bioré UV Aqua Water Essence SPF 50 written in bright white writing on it next to a tall rectangular bright white cardboard box that has Bioré UV Aqua Water Essence SPF 50 written in bright white wariting and some pictures of some dark blue stripes on it, on a white background.

How to use.

Apply daily to clean Skin. Can be used alone or on top of your daily Moisturiser. In case of Sun Exposure, apply generously and evenly 15 minutes before Sun Exposure. Reapply every 2 hours to maintain protection especially after Swimming, Perspiring or Toweling.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Alcohol Denat, Octocrylene, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Lauryl Methacrylate/Sodium Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Diethylhexyl 2,6-Naphthalate, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Dextrin Palmitate, Dicaprylyl Ether, Glycerin, Homosalate, Acrylates/C10-30 Akyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Fragrance, Glyceryl Behenate, Sodium Hydroxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Distearate, Sterol Glutamic Acid, Arginine, Disodium EDTA, Tocopherol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Phenoxyethanol, Citral, Geraniol, Limonene, and Linalool, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Carton of freshly-squeezed Orange Juice.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Water Essence, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Gel-Cream Moisturiser rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Water Essence.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Gel-Cream Moisturiser into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Water Essence that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, refreshed, protected, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, a little bit brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a short flat conical Plastic Tube with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, because of it’s incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy consistency, I had absolutely no control of how much came out of the Tube when I squeezed it.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Bioré UV Aqua Water Essence SPF 50 a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Orange scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had come in a Bottle with a Pump Lid or some kind of Tub so that I could control exactly how much of it I was using.
