During Winter, when my Skin is feeling especially dry and dehydrated, I love to smother it in some kind of Overnight Face Mask and let it work it’s magic overnight whilst I sleep. That’s why when I saw that Botanical Lab had released a Rose Overnight Hydrating Mask that claims to help deeply moisturise and plump thirsty Skin overnight whilst I was scrolling through Superdrug’s Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Squalane, Kaolin, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Polysorbate 60, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sorbitan Isostearate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Deceth-7, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Damask Rose Flower Oil, Retinyl Palmitate, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Potassium Sorbate, and Tocopherol, I thought that it had a very strange deep and nutty yet ever so slightly floral Rose scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured some Rosewater over some old wet Cardboard.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Overnight Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Gel Cream Moisturiser rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Overnight Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Gel Cream Moisturiser into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Overnight Mask that spread really easily across my Face.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, supple, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for at least 24 hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Glass Jar with a matte Plastic screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
my overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Botanical Lab Rose Overnight Hydrating Mask a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and nutty yet ever so slightly floral Rose scent.
