I absolutely love an Overnight Face Mask, especially a hydrating one, as I love that all I have to do is whack it on and go to Sleep. That’s why when I saw that Kiehl’s had released an Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Mask that claims to soften, smooth and hydrate your Skin whilst I was out Shopping a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Kiehl’s say about their Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Mask.
Helps to instantly boost Skin’s ability to absorb and hold moisture for long-lasting hydration.
Glacial Proteins and Desert Plant Extracts leaves Skin smoother and softer, refreshed and supple by morning.
Amplifies the hydration provided by a daily Moisturiser.
How to use.
At Night : Cleanse and tone your Face with the Cleanser and Toner of your choice, then apply your Eye Area treatmenT if desired. Apply a generous layer of the Masque onto clean Skin and leave on for 10 minutes. Use a Tissue or Towel to remove excess but leave a thin layer intact to continuously replenish Skin’s moisture throughout the Night. Do not rinse.
In the morning : Wash your face using the Cleanser of your choice. Then follow your normal Skincare Routine.
Special Note : Due to the potency of this formula , we recommend using it no more than 1 to 2 times per week for optimal results.
It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Propylene Glycol, Squalane, Triethanolamine, Carbomer, Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Clycol, Cogon Grass Root Extract, Dwarf Lilyturf Root Extract, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Chlorphenesin, Hydrolysed Hyaluronic Acid, Pseudoalterononas Ferment Extract, Disodium EDTA, and Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, I thought that it had a very deep and musky yet ever so slightly creamy Yoghurt scent to it that kind of reminded me of a massive Tub of out of date Greek Yoghurt.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Overnight Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy Night Cream rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Overnight Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy Night Cream into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Day Cream that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds. I also really liked that it ever so slightly tingled for a minute or so after I had finished applying it, which made it feel like it was actually doing something.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for at least 24 hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Mask an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and creamy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging. But I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and musky yet ever so slightly creamy Yoghurt scent and also thought that it was a little bit overpriced for what was essentially just a very hydrating Night Cream.
