I’ve been absolutely loving using the Geek & Gorgeous 101 A-Game 5 0.05% Retinal Serum lately, as I really like how silky soft, hydrated and younger it leaves my Skin looking and feeling, and that it’s a lot more affordable than some of the other Retinal Serums that are currently on the Market. That’s why when I saw that they had also released a 101 C-Glow 15% Vitamin C Serum that claims to use 15% Vitamin C to leave you with silky soft, protected and brighter-looking Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Geek & Gorgeous say about their 101 C-Glow 15% Vitamin C Serum.
A super-light, Water-like 15% Vitamin C + extra Antioxidants, Ferulic Acid, and a smaller amount of Vitamin E formula to give the Skin Environmental Protection, boost Collagen and even the Skin Tone.
Pure Vitamin C, or Ascorbic Acid, is a 3-in-1, Clinically Proven Superstar that gives the Skin Environmental Protection, Antioxidant, boosts the Skin’s own Collagen Production and fades Hyperpigmentation. This Water-light formula contains 15% Vitamin C and extra Antioxidants to give a healthy glow, even and firm the Skin.
3-3.4 pH.
15% Ascorbic Acid.
Ferulic Acid and Tocopherol.
The disadvantage of Pure Vitamin C is that it is super unstable, and hard to formulate with. This formula uses a low pH and extra Antioxidants to help to stabilise Vitamin C, but even like this, C-Glow comes with a relatively short, 8 months Shelf-Life.
The official Shelf Life of C-Glow is 8 months from Production, unopened. To ensure maximum freshness, we manufacture small batches of C-Glow every week. On average, by the time a C-Glow reaches our customers it is about 2 to 4 weeks “old”. To minimise oxidation & maximise freshness, we recommend to store it in the Fridge, where it keeps fresh even beyond its official 8 months shelf life. If going to the fridge every day for your C-Glow does not sound comfortable, we recommend to use our 10 ml mini Bottle. You can easily decant a few weeks worth of C-Glow into it, and store the Mini Bottle in your Bathroom, while having the C-Glow bottle in the Fridge.
Who is it for?
Everyone looking for a light-textured, Pure Vitamin C and extra Antioxidants formula. However, if you have Sensitive, redness-prone Skin, we do not recommend C-Glow due to its low pH and high Pure Acid Content.

How to use.
Apply a few drops to the Face after cleansing, before using other Serums and Creams. Ideal to use in the AM, but can be applied in the PM as well. As the C-Glow formula is Water-like, we recommend that you put a drop directly onto your Face and quickly pat it on with your other Hand.
It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, (L-)Ascorbic Acid, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Butylene Glycol, Peg/Ppg/Polybutylene Glycol-8/5/3 Glycerin, Ferulic Acid, Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, and Sodium Hydroxide, I thought that it had a very overwhelming deep and metallic yet ever so slightly musky Burnt Rubber scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had set some really old Tyres on Fire.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Vitamin C Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Micellar Water rather than a thick and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Vitamin C Serum.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Micellar Water into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Serum that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, refreshed, protected, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear, a lot brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Brown Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Geek & Gorgeous 101 C-Glow 15% Vitamin C Serum an eight out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very overwhelming deep and metallic yet ever so slightly nutty Burnt Rubber scent. I also wish that they had used some kind of stabilised Vitamin C, as I wasn’t really a massive fan of the fact that I had to keep it in the Fridge, and that if I did have to keep it in the Fridge to make sure that it stayed viable, that it would have been great if they had included the Mini Bottle instead of you having to buy it separately.
