I’m Off To See The Barber In Paris | L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Barber Club Long Beard & Skin Oil

I’m currently trying to grow my Beard, so I need to keep it as soft and hydrated as I possibly can by always using some kind of Beard Oil. That’s why when I had noticed that I had nearly ran out of the one that i’m  currently using, I instantly started looking for a new one to try as I had gotten a little bit bored of the Beard Oil that I had almost finished. Well after searching for a while, I eventually picked up the L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Barber Club Long Beard & Skin Oil, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A short rectangular glass bottle full of some dark brown liquid with a black plastic pump lid and a black label that has L'Oreal Paris Men Expert Barber Club Long Beard & Skin Oil written in bold white writing on it, on a white background.

How to use.

1. Dispense desired amount of Oil into the Palm of your Hand, two to three drops depending on your Beard length and rub your Hands together to emulsify.

2. Massage the product evenly into your Beard so that it makes contact with the Skin underneath. For an even more tamed Beard, use a Brush or Comb.

3. Wash your Hands after application.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained  Isopropyl Palmitate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polybutene, Alcohol Denat, Fragrance, Caprylyl Glycol, Benzyl Salicylate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-Tbutyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Shea Butter, Benzyl Alcohol, Limonene, Coumarin, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Atlas Cedar Bark Oil, Linalool, Eugenol, Eucalyptus Leaf Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Citronellol, Tocopherol, and Citric Acid, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and woody yet ever so slightly medicinal Cedarwood scent to it that kind of reminded me of the smell of having your Beard trimmed at a really high end Barbers.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Beard Oil, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Oil rather than a thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Beard Oil.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Beard, it turned from an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Oil into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Beard Oil that spread really easily through my Beard. I also really liked that it didn’t leave my Skin or Hands feeling really greasy or sticky after I had used it.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Beard and the Skin underneath and around it feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely shiny and much healthier too. I also really liked that it left my Beard smelling of delicious sweet and woody yet ever so slightly medicinal Cedarwood for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked its packaging, as this came in a short rectangular Glass Bottle with a lockable Plastic Pump Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Barber Club Long Beard & Skin Oil a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and woody yet ever so slightly medicinal Cedarwood scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it smelt even stronger and that it’s delicious sweet and woody yet ever so slightly medicinal Cedarwood scent had lasted in my Beard for even longer.

  1. I can’t say I’ve ever tried beard oil, but if it’s good for really sensitive skin I might go and give it a try. Whilst I’m not growing out my beard, it does sound like a product that would be a good thing to have on hand.
