One of my favourite Facial Serums from last year definitely had to be the L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Power Age Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum, as I loved how silky soft, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated it left my Skin feeling. That’s why when I saw that they had released a Vitamin C Shot Serum that claims to leave you with silky soft, hydrated and glowing-looking Skin whilst I was scrolling through Superdrug’s Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what L’Oreal Paris Men Expert say about their Hydra Energetic Vitamin C Shot Serum.
All the power of Pure Vitamin C concentrated in an ultra-efficient Serum for Men’s Skin. The L’Oreal Men Expert Vitamin C Shot Serum helps to brighten, smooth and refresh dull & tired looking Skin. The non-greasy and non-sticky texture is lighter than a Cream and easily absorbs into the Skin and Beard.
Our Serum has highest Men Expert’s concentration of Pure Vitamin C with an ultra hydrating & smoothing texture. Quick absorption even through your Beard. Powerful efficacy on all Skin tones.
Why Pure Vitamin C?
Pure Vitamin C is a powerful Antioxidant, naturally present in Skin and recommended by dermatologists. It helps to reduce dullness and improve Skin texture. Dermatologists recommend Pure Vitamin C for its universal and multi-potent efficacy against dullness, Fine Lines, and lack of Skin firmness. Our Serum contains 10% of Pure Vitamin C, an efficient concentration particularly for depigmenting & anti-oxidant benefits. Its performance is boosted by Vitamin E and Salicylic Acid respectively as Anti-oxidant & exfoliating agents.

It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Ascorbic Acid, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat, Dimethicone, Potassium Hydroxide, Green Algae Extract, Acetyl Dipeptid-1 Cetyl Ester, Adenosine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Butylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Caprylyl Glycol, C13-14 Isoalkane, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Laureth-8, Polox Aner 338, PolyacrylAmide, Sorbiton Laurate, Xanthan Gum, Corn Starch, Dimethiconol, Polysilicone-11, Salicylic Acid, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a very strange deep and metallic yet ever so slightly zesty Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had left some Oranges to soak in a really rusty Metal Lunchbox.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Vitamin C Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly oily Hyaluronic Acid Serum rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Vitamin C Serum.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly oily Hyaluronic Acid Serum into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Facial Oil that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, matte, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear, a little bit younger, a lot brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short rounded cylindrical Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Hydra Energetic Vitamin C Shot Serum a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly oily consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and metallic yet ever so slightly zesty Orange scent.
