With it being ten years since I started my Blog, i’ve been looking back at some of the Brands that I wrote about at the very beginning and trying some of their new ranges. That’s why when I saw that L’Oreal Paris Men Expert had released a Derma Control range that claims to leave you with silky soft, smooth, hydrated and clearer-looking Skin whilst I was scrolling through Boots’ Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to check it out. Well after scrolling through their Website for a good half an hour, I eventually picked up a Bottle of the Derma Control Cleansing Gel, a Bottle of the Derma Control Anti-Blemish Serum, and a Tube of the Derma Control Moisturiser with SPF30, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerine, Decylglucoside, Coco-Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Salicylic Acid, Niacinamide, Tryethylcitrate, Peg-150 Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, Peg-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Capryloyl, Salicylic Acid, Tetrasodium Glutamate, Diacetate, Citric Acid, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly masculine Cucumber scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had sprayed a Cucumber with some very fresh and zesty Men’s Aftershave.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Cleansing Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Styling Gel rather than a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Gel.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Styling Gel into a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly frothy Cleansing Gel that spread really easily across my Face.
It’s results.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s results, as even though this left my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, matte, refreshed, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated as well as looking extremely glowing ,radiant, clear and much healthier for hours after I had used it, it unfortunately managed to severely irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a Pump Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Alcohol Denat, Niacinamide, Glycerin, Propanediol, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Hydroxyacetophenone, Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane, Sulfonic Acid, Lactic Acid, Phytic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Hydroxypropyl Guar, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Salicylic Acid, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly masculine Salt Water scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you walk past a Man who’s just gotten out of the Ocean after having a Swim.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Anti-Blemish Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Gel rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Anti-Blemish Serum.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Gel into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Facial Serum that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, refreshed, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Diisopropyl Sebacate, Isopropyl Myristate, Alcohol Denat, Silica, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Glycerin, Phenylbenzinidazole, Sulfonic Acid, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Butyl Methoxydibeezoylmethane, Propanediol, C12-22 Alkyl Acrylate/Hydroxyethylacrylate Copolymer, Triethanolamine, Niacinamide, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hydroxyacetophenone, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Cellulose, Silica, Cinamate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium Phosphate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polysorbate 60, Sodium Phosphate, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly masculine Lemon scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you walk past a Man who’s wearing some really Citrusy smelling Cologne.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Moisturiser, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Cleansing Cream rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Moisturiser.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Cleansing Cream into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Face Fluid that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, matte, protected, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall conical Plastic Tube with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Derma Control Cleansing Gel a seven out of ten, the L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Anti-Blemish Serum a nine out of ten, and the L’Oreal Men Expert Derma Control Moisturiser with SPF30 an eight point five out of ten. I really liked the L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Derma Control Cleansing Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly masculine scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s results, especially as it managed to quite severely irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes. I really liked the L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Derma Control Anti-Blemish Serum, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly masculine Sea Water scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had contained a little bit more Salicylic Acid to give my Skin an even deeper amount of exfoliation. I really liked the L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Derma Control Moisturiser with SPF30, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly masculine scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much bigger Tube, as 40ml of a Moisturiser with SPF30 doesn’t last that long, especially if you’re applying it multiple times a day like you’re supposed to do.,
