I Always Need My Beauty Sleep | Lush Beauty Sleep Face & Body Mask

I absolutely love to pamper my Skin with a nice Face Mask at the end of a long day, especially right before I go to Bed as it helps me to relax and unwind before I go to Sleep. That’s why when I had heard that Lush had released a Beauty Sleep Face & Body Mask that claims to help you relax, intensely moisturise your Skin, and contain a spoonful of their Gorgeous Moisturiser, I obviously had to hop on to their Website and pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

A small circular puddle of light purple face & body mask that has some pieces of dark brown aduki beans running through it, on a white background.

Here’s what Lush say about their Beauty Sleep Face & Body Mask.

A luxurious Clay based Face Mask which includes a spoonful of our most decadent Moisturiser, Gorgeous, for a boost of hydration, The perfect step in your Evening Skincare Routine to help you #GetYourBeautySleep.

How to use.

Run a warm Bath, put on some relaxing Music and apply this beautiful Face Mask to clean Skin. Sit and relax, inhale the Neroli and let the Valerian and Lemon Verbena get to work. Once you’re feeling relaxed and ready for Bed, rinse away with warm Water.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Lemon Verbena and Valerian Root extracted in Honey, Glycerine, Mullein Leaf and Linseed Decoction, Kaolin, Talc, Ground Organic Aduki Beans, Orange Blossom Honey Water, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Bentone Gel, Orange Flower Absolute, Neroli Oil, Myrrh Resinoid, Lavender Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Tonka Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Fresh Coconut, Illipe Butter, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Cold Pressed Evening Primrose Oil, Evening Primrose Seeds, Wheatgerm Oil, Fresh Lemon Juice, Fresh Pineapple Juice, Fresh Orange Juice, Organic Cold Pressed Grapeseed Oil, Water, Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Cinnamate, Cinnamal, Coumarin, Farnesol, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Colour 17200, and Colour 42090, I thought that it had an extremely overpowering sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly zesty and floral Lavendar and Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Bottle of Lavender Oil over a massive slice of Orange Cheesecake.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Face & Body Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy Night Cream with little pieces of grit in it rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Face & Body Mask.

What it did when I used it

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy Night Cream with little pieces of grit in it into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Face & Body Mask with little pieces of grit in it that set within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy, plump, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much clearer for at least 24 hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Black Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Beauty Sleep Face & Body Mask a seven point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s extremely overpowering sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly zesty and floral Lavender and Orange scent. I also thought that it was a little bit overpriced for a Face & Body Mask, as I think that there’s a lot of other Masks currently on the market that do a similar job for a lot less money.

  1. Shame about the scent but otherwise it sounds pretty awesome. I’m a fan of masks that are thicker in consistency yet smooth enough so you can easily spread it over skin. I love your suggestions for use with a nice bath and chillaxed mask session before bed. Fab review! 🙂
