Everyone Needs To Get Their Beauty Sleep If They Want Soft & Hydrated Skin | By Beauty Bay 5% Squalane, Hyaluronic Acid + Polyglutamic Acid Overnight Balm

With me having incredibly dry and flaky Skin at the moment, one of my favourite things to do has to be to smother my Skin in multiple layers of Facial Oil before I go to Bed at Night and let it work it’s magic whilst I sleep. That’s why when I saw that By Beauty Bay had released a 5% Squalane, Hyaluronic Acid + Polyglutamic Acid Overnight Balm that claims to intensely hydrate, soften and smooth your Skin overnight whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

How to use.

  • For major Beauty Sleep Benefits, use as the very last step in your Skincare Routine at night.
  • Recommended to use twice a week, or daily for those with super dry Skin.

Its scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Coco-Caprylate, Sweet Almond Oil, Modified Corn Starch, Water, Dicaprylyl Ether, Squalane, Jojoba Seed Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Polyglutamic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Wheat Germ Oil, Hydrolyzed Rice Bran Extract, Hydroxyacetophenone, Tocopherol, Soapwort Leaf & Root Extract, Quillaja Wood Extract, Propanediol, and Benzyl Alcohol, I thought that it had a very strange deep and spicy yet ever so slightly musky Wheat Germ scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had soaked an entire Loaf of mouldy Bread in some rancid Rainwater.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Overnight Balm, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Overnight Face Mask rather than a thick and waxy yet ever so slightly oily Overnight Balm.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Overnight Face Mask into a thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Facial Oil that sank into my Skin within a matter of minutes.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for at least an entire 24 hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to break me out like a lot of the other Overnight Balms that i’ve tried in the past have done, and that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Tube with a metallic screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the By Beauty Bay 5% Squalane, Hyaluronic Acid + Polyglutamic Acid Overnight Balm a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s’ results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and spicy yet ever so slightly musky Wheat Germ scent. I also wish that it was available in a much bigger Tube, as 30ml of an Overnight Balm doesn’t last that long, especially if you’re using it two times a week like your supposed to do or have really dry Skin.
