I absolutely love that Lush are trying to be more inclusive of other Cultures and Religions, as it means that I get to learn about some pretty cool Cultures, Religions and Traditions that I otherwise wouldn’t have known about. That’s why when I had heard that they had released a Dia De Muertos 2023 range that aims to celebrate the Mexican Day Of The Dead, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Cempasúchil Bath Bomb, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Bright and citrusy.

It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Cornstarch, Bergamot Oil, Buchu Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Tin Oxide, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Colour 15985:1, Colour 19140:1, Colour 14700, Colour 15510, Colour 19140, and Colour 47005, I thought that it had a very strange sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Buchu scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bag of Haribo Fried Egg Sweets.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful bright Yellow all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of gorgeous bright Orange all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful bright Yellow to turn my entire Bath a stunning shimmering burnt Orange colour.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of very strange sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Buchu for hours after I had used it.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I Would have to rate the lush Cempasúchil Bath Bomb a seven point five out of ten. I absolutely loved what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of its very strange sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Buchu scent.
