When I was at School, one of my favourite things to learn about in Religious Education definitely had to be Diwali, as I loved learning all about how it’s celebrated to mark the return of Lord Rama and his victory over the Demon Ravana. That’s why when I had heard that Lush had released a Diwali 2023 range, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Diya Bath Bomb and a Bottle of Flower Gel Shower Gel, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.
Here’s what Lush say about both delicious smelling products.
The Diya Bath Bomb.

How to use.

It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Cornstarch, Fragrance, Jasmine Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil, Vanilla Absolute, Cream Of Tartar, Water, Carnauba Wax, Titanium Dioxide, Dipropylene Glycol, Laureth 4, Sodium Coca Sulfate, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Silica, Tin Oxide, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 47005, Colour 42090, Colour 77491, Colour 45350, and Colour 14700, I thought that the main Bath Bomb had a very subtile fresh and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Jasmine scent to it that kind of reminded me of walking past a Jasmine Bush on a balmy Spring Afternoon, and that the Flame Bath Melt had a delicious deep and caramely yet ever so slightly sugary Brown Sugar scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bag of Brown Sugar.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once the Bath Bomb part hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful bright Blue all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of gorgeous bright Yellow all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful bright Blue to turn my entire Bath a stunning shimmering bright Green colour. Then once the Bath Melt part hit the Water, it ever so slowly started to melt before releasing streams of vivid bright Rust Red all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the stunning bright Green to turn my entire Bath a mesmerising shimmering Moss Green colour.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Jasmine as well as deep and caramely yet ever so slightly sugary Brown Sugar for hours after I had used it.

It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Marigold Petal and Lotus Root Infusion, Water, Almond Milk, Lauryl Betaine, Fragrance, Ho Wood Oil, Ghanaian Ylang Ylang Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Rose Absolute, Fine Sea Salt, Propylene Glycol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Coumarin, Oakmoss Extract, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 73660, and Colour 45410, I thought that it had a delicious floral and powdery yet ever so slightly grassy Ylang Ylang scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you plant a Ylang Ylang Tree.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Shower Cream rather than a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Shower Gel.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Shower Cream into a thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious floral and powdery yet ever so slightly grassy Ylang Ylang for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Diya Bath Bomb an eight out of ten, and the Lush Flower Gel Shower Gel an eight point five out of ten. I really liked the Lush Diya Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Jasmine scent, it’s delicious deep and caramely yet ever so slightly sugary Brown Sugar scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I did think that £15 was just a little bit too much to spend on a Bath Bomb, even if you could technically use it across three Baths. I also wish that it’s Bath Bomb part and it’s Bath Melt part were available to buy separately. I really liked the Lush Flower Gel Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious floral and powdery yet ever so slightly grassy Ylang Ylang scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Rose.
