One of the main problems with me having Eczema definitely has to be that unless i’m at Home, I constantly have to carry around little decanted Pots or Tubes of whatever Moisturiser, Oil, or Serum that i’m using to try and soothe and calm my Skin down. That’s why when the guys over at SOS Balm very kindly asked me if I would like to try a Tin of their Unscented Balm that claims to soothe, calm and deeply moisturise Eczema prone Skin as well as come in a handy Travel-sized Tin, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using if for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

This is a great multitasking Balm for the whole Family from birth. Designed for Eczema prone Sensitive Skin. Vegan and made with only pure Organic Ingredients.

Eczema and Psoriasis Breakouts.
Minor Cuts, Scrapes, Burns and Rashes.

Useful for Hands damaged by over washing and the drying effects of Hand Sanitiser.

How to use.
A little goes a long way, use a small amount, warm gently between your Fingers and apply to the affected area. For use on your Face and Body, continued use on your Face may block Pores. Avoid the Eye Area.
Its scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Unrefined Organic Shea Butter, Argan Oil, Organic Hemp Seed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Organic Natural Vitamin E, Organic Chamomile Extract, Organic Calendula Extract, and Sunflower Seed Oil, I thought that it had a very strange deep and musky yet ever so slightly nutty Sunflower Seed scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bottle of Sunflower Seed Oil.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Multi-Use Balm, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and waxy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thick and waxy yet ever so slightly oily Lip Balm rather than a thick and oily yet ever so slightly waxy Multi-Use Balm.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had scooped a little bit of it out of it’s Tin, had warmed it between my Hands, and had started to massage it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and waxy yet ever so slightly oily Lip Balm into a thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Facial Oil that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, refreshed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes and actually managed to soothe and calm them down whenever I was having a flare-up.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Metal Tin with a screw top Lid that fitted really easily into my Pocket.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the SOS Balm Unscented Balm a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and waxy yet ever so slightly oily consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and musky yet ever so slightly nutty Sunflower Seed scent. I also wish that it was available in a much bigger size, as 30ml of a Rescue Balm doesn’t last that long, especially if you’re using it as a Hand Balm, a Moisturiser, or as a Nappy Rash Cream.
