One of the products that i’ve always said Lush should release definitely has to be Wax Melts, as even though I love Candles, I also use an Electric Wax Melt Burner that’s set to a Timer as it means that I can just throw in a Wax Melt and leave it to do it’s thing. That’s why when I had heard that they had released their Home Fragrance 2023 range that contains a range of Wax Melts as well as added some more Candles to their Candle range, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up an Avobath Candle, a Clear The Air Lush Melt, a Karma Candle, and a Va Va Voom Lush Melt, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about all four amazing products.

The Avobath Candle.

Juicy, fruity vibes.
Bring joy to your space with this iconically-scented, uplifting Citrus Candle. Enlivening Lemongrass and cheerful Bergamot work to boost the Mood of all who catch their scent, helping to ease tensions and create a fun relaxed atmosphere. For the best Candlelit Bath, pair with an Avobath Bath Bomb.

What’s this ethical candle made of?

Just like all of our products, we use beautiful, high quality, ethically-sourced Essential Oils in our Candles. With a natural Wax base of Rapeseed Wax, Coconut Oil, Coconut Wax and Castor Wax, all our Candles are Palm-free, GM-free, & Soy-free whilst also being 100% Vegan. The beautiful Frosted Glass is completely reusable or 100% recyclable.
Notice a light mottling pattern on your Candle? This is called Frosting and is a unique and natural effect of using Vegetable Waxes. The Wax is trying to return back to its natural form and as a result it begins to crystallise. It doesn’t affect the performance of the Candle in any way and also confirms the Wax is 100% natural.
Approximate burn time: 12 – 15 hours.

The Clear The Air Lush Melt.

A Eucalyptus and Lemongrass refresher.
When things feel a little grey, it’s time to refresh and revitalise. Usher in some clarity with this crisp Home Fragrance blend of Peppermint, Eucalyptus and Lemongrass to shift the Atmosphere in the Room and uplift your space.
Lush sources the Cocoa Butter used in this product from the Dominican Republic, Peru, and Sierra Leone, each of these sources are Child-Labour Free, Organic and Fair Trade.

How to use.

Lush Melts can either fragrance the Home or be used as a Bath Melt.
To fill your world with Perfume, break off one or two squares and add to your Oil Burner. Approximate burn time is 6 hours per square. Do not leave burner on for more than 6 hours.
To use as a Bath Melt, just add one or two squares into a nice warm Bath. Sit back and let the Moringa Oil soothe and calm.
Do not add used or melted Lush Melts to your Bath.

How to store.

To make sure your Bar only melts when you want it to, keep it in a cool dry place out of direct Sunlight.

The Karma Candle.

A warm and grounding light.

The Lush Avobath Candle.

Its scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained rapeseed wax, coconut oil, coconut wax, castor wax, Lemongrass Oil, Bergamot Oil, Citronellol, Limonene, and Geraniol, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Lemon scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you cut into a Lemon.

Its scent throw.

I really liked it’s scent throw, as this managed to fill my entire Room with it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Lemon scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 15 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 20 hours of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Lemon scent out of it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Frosted Glass Jar that looked beautiful sat on my Bedside Cabinet.

The Lush Clear The Air Lush Melt.

Its scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Cetearyl Olivate & Sorbitan Olivate, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Polysorbate 20, Glyceryl Stearate, Silica, Illipe Butter, Fragrance, Almond Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Peppermint Oil, Rosemary Oil, Moringa Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Water, Propylene Glycol, Citral, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellol, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 42092, and Colour 42090, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly medicinal Lemongrass and Eucalyptus scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a Tub of some Lemongrass and Eucalyptus Temple Balm.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it ever so slowly started to melt before releasing streams of beautiful bright White and vivid bright Blue all over the surface of the Water that eventually turned my entire Bath a stunning shimmering bright Blue colour.

Its scent throw.

I really liked it’s scent throw, as one Cube managed to fill my entire Room with it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly medicinal Lemongrass and Eucalyptus scent that lasted for hours even after I had stopped burning it.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 6 hours of burn time out of each individual Cube, but as I used an Electric Wax Melt Warmer, I easily got at least 10 hours of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly medicinal Lemongrass and Eucalyptus scent out of it.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came wrapped in a really thick piece of Recycled Paper that I thought looked really professional, I would have preferred it if it had come in some kind of a Plastic Tub or Tray.

The Lush Karma Candle.

Its scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Rapeseed Wax, Coconut Wax, Coconut Oil, Castor Wax, Patchouli Oil, Brazilian Orange Oil, Lavandin Oil, Siberian Fur Needle Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Elemi Oil, and Linalool, I thought that it had a delicious deep and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Patchouli and Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Bottle of Patchouli Oil over a Terry’s Chocolate Orange.

It’s scent throw.

I really liked it’s scent throw, as this managed to fill my entire Room with it’s delicious deep and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Patchouli and Orange scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 15 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 20 hours of delicious deep and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Patchouli and Orange scent out of it.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Cetearyl Olivate & Sorbitan Olivate, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Polysorbate 20, Silica, Glyceryl Stearate, Fragrance, Illipe Butter, Almond Oil, Lime Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Cananga Oil, Almond Essential Oil, Organic Rose Hip Oil, Cold-Pressed Strawberry Seed Oil, Dipropylene Glycol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Benzoate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 14700, Colour 26100, Colour 73360, Colour 17200, and Colour 45410:1, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Strawberry scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Box of Haribo Giant Strawberries.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it ever so slowly started to melt before releasing streams of beautiful bright Red all over the surface of the Water that eventually turned my entire Bath a stunning bright Red colour.

It’s scent throw.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Avobath Candle a nine out of ten, the Lush Clear The Air Lush Melt an eight point five out of ten, the Lush Karma Candle an eight out of ten, and the Lush Va Va Boom Lush Melt a nine out of ten. I really liked the Lush Avobath Candle, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Lemon scent, it’s scent throw, it’s burn time, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much bigger size. I really liked the Lush Clear The Air Lush Melt, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly medicinal Lemongrass and Eucalyptus scent, what it did when I used it, it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very basic packaging. I really liked the Lush Karma Candle, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Patchouli and Orange scent, it’s scent throw, it’s burn time, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Orange. I really liked the Lush Va Ba Boom Lush Melt, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Strawberry scent, what it did when I used it, it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very basic packaging.
