Let’s Get Physical | Lush Magnesium Range | Gifted

I don’t know if you’ve ever used a Cane for an extended amount of time, but whenever I do it puts quite a lot of pressure on my Body, especially my Arms, Back, and Shoulders, which means that i’m always on the lookout for anything that claims to soothe and relax my tired and aching Muscles. That’s why when I had heard that Lush had released a Magnesium range that claims to contain various different types of Magnesium to help you relax, unwind and sore aching Muscles, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Deep Sleep Bath Bomb, a Salt Water Soother Bath Bomb, an After Magnesium Massage Bar, a Before Magnesium Massage Bar, and a Deep Sleep Magnesium Massage Bar, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about all five amazing products.

The Deep Sleep Bath Bomb.

A dreamy Magnesium Soak.
A good, restful Night’s Sleep is a Magnesium Bath Time away. The relaxing dream team of Lavender, Chamomile, and Neroli Oils combine to create a soothing scent that fills the Air as the reviving Epsom Salts restore balance to tired Muscles.

How to use.

Run your Bath, drop this soothing Epsom Salt Cube in, and dive deep into the Dream World while the soothing Lavender scent fills the Air. Once you’ve finished your Bath, gently raise from the Water and lightly Towel your Skin dry, before gracefully melting your Deep Sleep Magnesium Massage Bar into your Muscles for the ultimate Bedtime Routine.

Keep in a cool and dry place until you’re in need of a boost to your snooze skills.

The Salt Water Soother Bath Bomb.

A soothing Magnesium Muscle Soak.
The refreshing, yet serene Oils of Peppermint, Spearmint and Eucalyptus prop you back up, while the Magnesium-rich Epsom Salts create the softest of Waters, allowing you to take a well-deserved rest and take stock.

Run your Bath, drop this soothing Epsom Salt Cube in, and let the restorative waters run over your tired Muscles. Once you’ve finished your Bath, raise from the Water and lightly Towel your Skin dry, before soothing your Muscles with the After Magnesium Massage Bar.

The After Magnesium Massage Bar.

A cooling Peppermint Magnesium remedy.
Had a Workout you can’t forget? This refreshing Magnesium, Witch Hazel and Arnica Massage bar will help to unwind your Mind, while easing and recovering those aching Muscles. The supporting cast of Eucalyptus, Peppermint and Spearmint Oils cool you and your Joints back down, while Menthol is believed to aid absorption of all-important Magnesium into your Skin. Magnesium is the fourth most abundant Mineral in the Human Body, responsible for over 300 different functions, and is thought to be anti-inflammatory, supporting Muscle movement and repair.

Each Magnesium Massage Bar contains 122mg per 5g of product.

How to use.

Our Lush Spa Therapists suggest using the After Massage Bar as part of your cool-down routine post-Exercise. Warm the Bar in your Hands, before applying it directly to Skin with light pressure, using soothing Massage Techniques on to any Muscle groups that have been worked during your session.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Epsom Salts, Citric Acid, Lavender Oil, Chamomile Oil, Lavender Absolute, Neroli Oil, Organic Cold-Pressed Passion Seed Oil, Water, Propylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Colour 45510, Colour 42090, Colour 45410:1, Colour 14700, and Colour 17200, I thought that it had a delicious deep and medicinal yet ever so slightly zesty Lavender scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bottle of Lavender Essential Oil.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful dark Pink all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of dazzling bright Purple all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful dark Pink to turn my entire Bath a stunning Pastel Lavender colour. I also really liked that as it was fizzing and hissing, that it released little pieces of Epsom Salt all over the surface of the Water that eventually dissolved and left the Water feeling really silky and soft..

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious deep and medicinal yet ever so slightly zesty Lavender for hours after I had used it.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful dark Blue all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of dazzling bright Yellow all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful dark Blue to turn my entire Bath a gorgeous bright Green colour. I also really liked that as it was fizzing and hissing, that it released little pieces of Epsom Salt all over the surface of the Water that eventually dissolved and left the Water feeling really silky and soft.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Calamine Powder, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Arnica Flower and Devil’s Claw Root Decoction, Borrage Oil, Organic Illipe Butter, Kalahari Melon Oil, Magnesium Chloride, Peppermint Oil, Witch Hazel Extract, Eucalyptus Oil, Spearmint Oil, Water, Citral, Farnesol, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellol, Limonene, Linalool, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly creamy Peppermint scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had crushed up a massive pile of freshly picked Mint Leaves.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had slightly warmed it between my Hands and had started to massage it into my Skin, it started to release lots of incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Body Lotion all over my Body that sank into my Skin within a matter of minutes. I also really liked that once I had massaged a little bit of it into my Skin, that it released a really nice cooling sensation, and that when I used it’s Magnesium Crystal encrusted top side, that it really helped to get into all of the nooks and crannies of my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly creamy Peppermint for at least an hour after I had used it.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Zeolite Clay, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Plantain Decoction, Organic Avocado Oil, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Magnesium Chloride, Fragrance, Peppermint Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Wintergreen Oil, Buchu Oil, Bergamot Oil, Caffeine Powder, Water, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Citral, Farnesol, Geraniol, Isoeugenol, Limonene, and Linalool, I thought that it had a very strange deep and fruity yet ever so slightly medicinal Blackcurrant scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had crushed up an entire Packet of Blackcurrant Cough Sweets.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Deep Sleep Bath Bomb a nine out of ten, the Lush Salt Water Soother Bath Bomb an eight out of ten, the Lush After Magnesium Massage Bar a nine out of ten, the Lush Before Magnesium Massage Bar a six out of ten, and the Lush Deep Sleep Magnesium Massage Bar an eight point five out of ten. I really liked the Lush Deep Sleep Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and medicinal yet ever so slightly zesty Lavender scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had contained a little bit more Epsom Salt. I really liked the Lush Salt Water Soother Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly oceanic Spearmint scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it hadn’t contained so much Epsom Salt as it started to crumble and disintegrate on me before I had even got it Home. I really liked the Lush After Magnesium Massage Bar, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly creamy Peppermint scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had created an even stronger cooling sensation when I had used it. I really liked the Lush Before Massage Bar, as I absolutely loved what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and fruity yet ever so slightly medicinal Blackcurrant scent. I really liked the Lush Deep Sleep Magnesium Massage Bar, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and medicinal yet ever so slightly zesty Lavender scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had contained something like Cinnamon or Clove Bud Oil to give it some kind of warming sensation when I had used it, especially if you’re supposed to use it before you go to Sleep.
If you would like to check out any of the Lush Magnesium range for yourselves, then you can either pop into your local Lush store, or you can find it online here.
I was very kindly given a Deep Sleep Bath Bomb to review, but all thoughts, opinions, and general ramblings are my own.
