One of the things that I absolutely love about Mother’s Day definitely has to be that everywhere starts to release all of their, usually floral themed, Mother’s Day ranges so that you can treat your Mum to something nice and show her just how much you love her. That’s why when I had heard that Lush had released their Mother’s Day 2023 range, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Tea Party Bath Bomb, an Avo Cuddle Bubble Bar, a Bag of the Yummy Mummy Shower Spheres, and a Block of Proper Soap, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about all four delicious smelling products.

The Tea Party Bath Bomb.

Brew-tiful Citrus Bathing.
Welcome to the Tea Party! Tip me up and pour this perfect Brew into your hot Bath, lay back and steep in Citrus-scented Pink Water, while Popping Candy gently crackles around you. Tea-rrific Lime and Sweet Wild Orange Oils leave your Bathwater infused with a jolly fragrance.

How to use.

No need for the Fine China here, just prepare your Bathwater to your perfect temperature and pour our Teapot in, letting it fizz away.

How to store.

Store in a cool, dry place until you’re ready for Afternoon Tea.

The Avo Cuddle Bubble Bar.

A zesty Hug in the Tub.
Pair up with our big-hearted Avocado for an uplifting sweet and zesty Lemongrass and Bergamot Oil embrace, bursting with soft and silky huggable Bubbles!

How to use.

Crumble under running Water, and swish around for mood-boosting Bubbles.

How to store.

Store in a cool, dry place until you need a Hug and a Heart-to-Heart.

The Yummy Mummy Shower Spheres.

The sweetest Shower.
The Mother of all Shower Gels! Indulge in sweet, fruity Tonka Absolute and Brazilian Orange Oil Suds, that lather up with the fragrance of the quintessentially British pairing of Strawberries and Cream. Yummy by name, yummy by nature.

How to use.

Shower Spheres are naked doses of Shower Gel. Simply pinch between your Fingers and tear open, tipping the Gel into your Hand and washing all over. When you’re done lathering up, the Seaweed Layer can be broken up into small pieces and washed down the Plughole.

How to store.

Until you’re ready for Dessert, store in a cool, dry place.

The Proper Soap.

A proper delicate touch.
Beautifully decorated with fresh Yellow Chrysanthemums, you’ll find lots of Fair Trade Olive Oil in this Soap, creating a ridiculously soft lather that keeps Skin as soft as a Meadow. You won’t be able to stop sniffing yourself after using this, thanks to the expert combination of Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Rose, Neroli and Lavender oils to form a properly intoxicating fragrance.

How to use.

Cleanse, lather, and rinse off, take it in the Shower and use all over for a real treat!

How to store.

Keep in a cool, dry place after use, like one of our Soap Dishes.

The Lush Tea Party Bath Bomb.

Its scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Popping Candy, Sweet Wild Orange Oil, Lime Oil, Cream Of Tartar, Water, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, Dipropylene Glycol, Synthetic Fluophlogopite, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Tin Oxide, Citral, Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Colour 45410:1, Colour 45410:2, Colour 45410, Colour 15851, Colour 42092, Colour 42090, Colour 77491, Colour 17200, and Wafer Paper, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fizzy Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a massive Glass of Bucks Fizz on Christmas Day.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful bright Pink and stunning Gold Lustre all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of gorgeous bright White Foam all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful bright Pink and stunning Gold Lustre to turn my entire Bath a stunning shimmering Pastel Pink colour. I also really liked that once it had finally finished fizzing and hissing, that it released little pieces of Popping Candy all over the surface of the Water that made it sound like an entire Tea Set was clunking around in my Bath.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fizzy Orange for hours after I had used it.

The Lush Avo Cuddle Bubble Bar.

Its scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream Of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Cornstarch, Lemongrass Oil, Bergamot Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Glycerine, Water, Tragacanth Gum, Alcohol Denat, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Citral, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Colour 44075, Colour 77491, Colour 59040, Colour 77491, and Colour 52090, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lemongrass scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Jar of Lemon Curd.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had crumbled a little bit of it under some running Water and had let my Bath fill all the way to the top, it created mounds of incredibly silky soft shimmering Pastel Green Bubbles that made it look like I was bathing in a Sea of Grass at midday.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lemongrass for hours after I had used it.

The Lush Yummy Mummy Shower Spheres.

Their scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of their scent, as even though they contained Water, Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Calcium Lactate Gluconate, Fine Sea Salt, Lauryl Betaine, Fragrance, Geranium Oil, Brazilian Orange Oil, Tonka Absolute, Lactic Acid, Sodium Alginate, Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluophlogopite, Tin Oxide, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Alcohol, Citral, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 17200, and Colour 42090, I thought that they had a very sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly synthetic Strawberry scent to them that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bottle of some very cheap Strawberry Liqueur.

What they did when I used them.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of what these did when I used them, as once I had finally managed to tear one of them open, it released quite a lot of incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Shower Gel that ended up getting all over my Shower as there was probably more than twice the amount of Shower Gel that I would normally use inside one of them. I did however really like that once I had started to massage it into my Skin, that it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Shower Gel into a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

Their results.

I really liked their results, as not only did these leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but they also left it smelling of very sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly Synthetic Strawberry for hours after I had used one of them.

Their packaging.

I really liked their packaging, as these came in a tall rectangular resealable Paper Pouch that kept them really fresh until I was ready to use them.

The Lush Proper Soap.

Its scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Rosewater, Fair Trade Olive Oil, Glycerine, Propylene Glycol, Water, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Fragrance, Sodium Hydroxide, Yellow Chrysanthemums, Organic Castor Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Lavender Absolute, Neroli Oil, Rose Absolute, Ylang-Ylang Oil, Vanilla Absolute, Titanium Dioxide, Citric Acid, Sodium Bicarbonate, Benzyl Benzoate, Linalool, and Colour 17200, I thought that it had a very delicate fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Jasmine scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you pull some finished Washing out of the Washing Machine.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had held it under some running Water for a couple of seconds and had started to massage it into my Skin, it started to create a really thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy lather that spread really easily across my Hands.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of very delicate fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Jasmine for at least ten minutes after I had used it.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Tea Party Bath Bomb a nine out of ten, the Lush Avo Cuddle Bubble Bar a nine out of ten, the Lush Yummy Mummy Shower Spheres a five out of ten, and the Lush Proper Soap an eight out of ten. I really liked the Lush Tea Party Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fizzy Orange scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it was part of their main range. I really liked the Lush Avo Cuddle Bubble Bar, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lemongrass scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Lemongrass. I really liked the Lush Yummy Mummy Shower Spheres, as I absolutely loved their results, and their packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of their very sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly synthetic Strawberry cent or what they did when I used one of them. I really liked the Lush Proper Soap, as I absolutely loved it’s very delicate fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Jasmine scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit stronger.
