I Wanna Comfort You. You Put The Weight On Me | Lush The Comforter Shower Gel

Even though i’m a massive Lush addict, there’s a few scents that’s taken me quite a long while to love, including Cocktail, Love, Snow Fairy, and Turmeric Latte. Unfortunately though, even though it’s quite a lot of people’s favourite scent, The Comforter is another one of those scents that’s taken me quite a while to love, as depending on the format it can either smell of delicious deep and fruity Blackcurrant or have a strange sweet and animalic scent to it. That’s why when I had heard that they had released a The Comforter Shower Gel, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Lush say about their The Comforter Shower Gel.

A Cuddle in a Bottle.
Like a Cuddle in a Bottle. Cypress Oil with Organic Blackcurrant Juice and Bergamot Oil create an uplifting, reassuring Fragrance.

What’s in it for you?

A member of the Citrus Family, the Bergamot Oil found in this Shower Gel lends its elevating zesty Fragrance to clear the Mind and encourage a sense of wellbeing.

Leaving the World Lusher than we found it.

The Glycerine in our Products is completely Palm-Free and Vegan-Friendly.

How to use.

Lather up fruity Suds and stroke over your Body in the Shower. Rinse and reveal Berry-licious, soft Skin.

How to store.

Keep this Shower Gel with the Lid closed.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Fragrance, Organic Blackcurrant Juice, Titanium Dioxide, Bergamot Oil, Blackcurrant Extract, Cypress Oil, Carrageenan Extract, Propylene Glycol, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 14700, and Colour 17200, I thought that it had a delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly sweet Blackcurrant scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bottle of Ribena Blackcurrant Cordial.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thick and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Hyaluronic Acid Serum rather than a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Hyaluronic Acid Serum into a thin and frothy yet ever so slightly oily Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly sweet Blackcurrant for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Clear Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush The Comforter Shower Gel a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly sweet Blackcurrant scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it’s delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly sweet Blackcurrant scent was also available in some other products, like a Candle, a Hair Primer, or maybe even a Perfume.
