It’s no secret that i’ve never been a massive fan of Lush’s Skincare, especially their Cleansers and Moisturisers, as given their fairly expensive price tag I think that they’re pretty basic and don’t actually do that much for your Skin if you have any kind of specific Skin issues like Acne, Eczema, or Fine Lines and Wrinkles. However, when I saw that they had released a Peace Moisturiser that claims to have been specifically designed for Sensitive Skin whilst I was out Shopping a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Purchasing this Vegan Moisturiser helps to create a stable demand for beautiful Fair Trade Cocoa Butter produced by the Farmers of San José de Apartadó in Colombia: a peaceful community trying not to be drawn into Armed Conflict. The regeneratively grown Aloe Vera inside is sourced from a Maasai Women’s Group in Laikipia, Kenya, who are supporting themselves by growing Aloe Vera, and rejecting negative traditions.

What is self-preserving?

We want to make products that care for your Skin Barrier with minimal interference to your Microbiome: the community of resident Microorganisms that protect your Skin against Pathogens. The effects of preservatives on our Microbiome and the environment are not yet fully clear. Its scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Rose Water, Almond Oil, Glycerine, Oat Milk, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic IllipeButter, Propylene Glycol, Stearic Acid, Cupuaçu Butter, Fair Trade Colombian Cocoa Butter, Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Triethanolamine, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Fresh Aloe Gel, Soy Yoghurt, Tincture Of Benzoin, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Cinnamate, Benzyl Salicylate, Citral, Citronellol, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, and Linalool, I thought that it had a delicious floral and creamy yet ever so slightly zesty Ylang Ylang and Lemon scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you whip some Whipped Cream together with some Lemon Juice when you’re making a Lemon Pavlova.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Moisturiser, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Body Butter rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Moisturiser.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Body Butter into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Moisturiser that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, hydrated, a little bit younger and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it managed to sooth and hydrate the patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes without irritating them or making them worse.

It’s packaging.

I really liked its packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Black Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Peace Moisturiser a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious floral and creamy yet ever so slightly zesty Ylang Ylang and Lemon scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much bigger Tub. I also just can’t justify spending £24 on a Moisturiser, as I think that there are a lot of other Moisturisers currently on the market that do a similar job for a lot less money.
