One of my favourite literary characters from when I was a child definitely had to be Paddington Bear, as I just loved his adorable and inquisitive nature. Plus I think that I probably read every story that he was ever featured in. That’s why when the guys over at Lush very kindly asked me if I would like to try some of their x Paddington™ range, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.
Here’s what Lush say about all four delicious smelling products.
The Lush Paddington™ Bath Bomb.
Please look after this Bath Bomb. Thank you.
Inspired by the travels of a very rare sort of Bear, this Lush x Paddington™ Bath Bomb is here to bring a touch of charm to your Tub. Accompany it to your bathing facilities and watch as it turns the Water a shade of Orange suspiciously similar to Marmalade…
What’s in it for you?
- Aromas of soft floral Gardenia and warming Vanilla are complimented by notes of sweet Honey for a scent as comforting as a big Bear Hug.
- The Sacha Inchi Oil in this Bath Bomb has also travelled from Peru! It helps this Bath Bomb be kind to Skin by softening your Waters.
Leaving the World Lusher than we found it.
Like Paddington™, we believe in making the World a better place, which is why we work hard to ensure our ingredients are bought in a respectful way, safeguarding the Environment and the Social Impact.
We source our Sacha Inchi Oil from Peru, supporting Small Scale Producers, whilst promoting Biodiversity.
This Product needs no Packaging and no introduction. It will arrive Packaging-Free and proud in your Parcel because we want to strip back on unnecessary Waste.
How to use.
Set your friendly little Bath Bomb afloat in a Warm Bath and watch it dissolve into a Marmalade Paradise.
How to store.
Remember your Manners and keep somewhere cool and dry until you’re ready to use.
The Lush Marmalade Sandwich Bubbleroon.
What a wise Bear.
A wise Bear always keeps a Marmalade Sandwich in their Hat for emergencies, and an even wiser Bear will keep this Lush x Paddington™ Bubbleroon in their Bathroom as well! Dreams of Marmalade Rivers come true as you soak in Citrusy Bubbles and shimmering Orange Waters.
What’s in it for you?
- To fill everyday with Citrussy Bubbles, we’ve made this Bubble Bar big enough for several Baths. Crumble a piece off with your Paws or do as Lush Product Inventor Aaron suggests and neatly cut into triangles.
- Our moisturising Marmalade Sandwich is held together by a softening mixture of Illipe, Kokum and Shea Butter.
- We’ve blended two of our Fragrances together for the perfect Preserve. The iconic Honey I Washed The Kids scent is given a burst of juicy Orange with the help of our Marmalade Jelly Fragrance for a citrusy sweetness.

Use a little, or a lot, and crumble under Running Water for softened Waters and mountains of Bubbles.

Store somewhere cool and dry between uses, we’re unsure a Hat will be suitable for this kind of Sandwich …
The Lush Marmalade Body Wash.
Can’t get sweeter than this.
We daresay you’ll be wanting some Marmalade… Well, the good news is this Lush x Paddington™ Body Wash contains all the Oranges a Bear could ever want, with Orange Peel, Juice, Oil and even Orange Blossom Honey Water. As well as putting the whole Fruit in, this Body Wash comes with a wonderfully hydrating lather! The bad news? You can’t eat it…
What’s in it for you?
- Orange Peel is mixed throughout this hydrating Body Wash to look, feel and smell like Paddington’s favourite Sandwich Filling. Now that’s something to write to Aunt Lucy about!
- Our Marmalade Recipe contains Carrageenan and Glycerine to help lock in moisture to the Skin. It does make it rather inedible, however.
- We’ve blended two of our Fragrances together for the perfect Preserve. The iconic Golden Egg Fragrance is given a burst of juicy Orange with the help of our Marmalade Jelly Fragrance for a citrusy sweetness.

How to use.
Scoop up a big Pawful and lather all over, then rinse off and resist temptation — you only smell like a Marmalade Sandwich.
How to store.
Store with the Lid on between uses to keep it up to your bear-y high standards.
The Lush Please Look After This Bear Soap.

The Lush Paddington™ Bath Bomb.
It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Cornstarch, Alcohol Denat, Sweet Wild Orange Oil, Peppermint Oil, Vanilla Extract, Organic Sacha Inchi Oil, Gardenia Extract, Water, Corn Protein, Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Propylene Glycol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Tin Oxide, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonene, Fragrance, Colour 77491, Colour 47005, Colour 14700, Colour 42090, Colour 42090:2, Colour 45410:1, Colour 15985:1, Colour 19140:1, Colour 77499, Colour 45410, and Colour 45410:2, I thought that it had a very subtile creamy and minty yet ever so slightly sweet Mint Choc Chip scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Tub of Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful bright Orange and Yellow all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of gorgeous bright Green all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful bright Orange and Yellow to turn my entire Bath a stunning shimmering burnt Orange colour.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious creamy and minty yet ever so slightly sweet Mint Choc Chip for hours after I had used it.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Potassium Bitartrate (Cream of Tartar), Sodium Laureth Sulfate,Illipe Butter, Lauryl Betaine, Cornstarch, Fragrance, Laureth 4, Kokum Butter, Orange Oil, Orange Flower Extract, Petitgrain Oil, Bergamot Oil, Shea Butter, Organic Brazil Nut Oil, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Amyl Cinnamal, Geraniol, Citronellol, Limonene, Linalool, Citral, Hydroxycitronellal, Colour 77491, Colour 45350, Colour 15985:1, Colour 19140:1, and Colour 15510, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly floral Marmalade scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Jar of locally sourced Marmalade.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had crumbled a little bit of it under some Running Water and had let my Bath fill all the way to the top, it created mounds of incredibly silky soft shimmering dark Orange Bubbles that made it look like I was bathing inside a massive Jar of Marmalade at Sunset.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly floral Marmalade for hours after I had used it.

The Lush Marmalade Body Wash.
It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Organic Orange Blossom Honey, Fresh Orange Juice, Fresh Orange Peel/Fresh Orange Peel Extract, Fragrance, Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose, Orange Oil, Orange Flower Extract, Bergamot Oil, Petitgrain Oil, Carrageenan Extract, Gardenia Extract, Sodium Carboxymethyl Starch, Amyl Cinnamal, Citronellol, Citral, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, and Colour 14700, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Marmalade scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had accidentally double-dipped their Butter covered Knife in a massive Jar of locally sourced Marmalade.
It’s consistency.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Wash, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly slimy, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly slimy Shower Slime rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Body Wash. I did however really like that it had little pieces of Orange Peel running all the way through it though, as I thought that it was a really nice touch.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly slimy Shower Slime into a thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body. I also really liked that the little pieces of Orange Peel combined with the Body Wash to give my Skin a very light and gentle scrub.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Marmalade for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Clear Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

The Lush Please Look After This Bear Soap.
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Rapeseed Oil, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Coconut Oil, Fragrance, Rice Bran Oil, Manuka Honey, Orange Oil, Bergamot Oil, Brazil Nut Oil, Sodium Chloride, Fresh Orange Peel/Fresh Orange Peel Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Citric Acid, Cornstarch, Sodium Hydroxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Sodium Bicarbonate, EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Tin Oxide, Amyl Cinnamal, Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 77499, Colour 77491, Colour 77492, Colour 45410:2, and Colour 42090:2, I thought that it had a delicious deep and malty yet ever so slightly sweet Honey and Porridge scent to it that kind of reminded me of eating a massive Bowl of Porridge that’s been topped with some locally sourced Honey on a freezing cold Winter’s Day.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had held it under some running Water for a couple of seconds and had started to massage it into my Skin, it started to create an incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy lather that spread really easily across my Body and Hands.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious deep and malty yet ever so slightly sweet Honey and Porridge for at least fifteen minutes after I had used it.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Paddington™ Bath Bomb an eight point five out of ten, the Lush Marmalade Sandwich Bubbleroon a nine out of ten, the Lush Marmalade Body Wash an eight point five out of ten, and the Lush Please Look After This Bear Soap a nine out of ten. I really liked the Lush Paddington™ Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s very subtile sweet and minty yet ever so slightly creamy Mint Choc Chip scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Peppermint. I really liked the Lush Marmalade Sandwich Bubbleroom, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly floral Marmalade scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Orange. I really liked the Lush Marmalade Body Wash, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Marmalade scent, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly slimy consistency. I really liked the Lush Please Look After This Bear Soap, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and malty yet ever so slightly sweet Honey and Porridge scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Rice Bran Oil.
