With me pretty much wearing some kind of an SPF every day, i’m always on the look out for anything that claims to have some kind of cool and quirky texture or formula to it, as applying the same kind of SPF Cream, Lotion or Serum every day can get quite monotonous after a while. That’s why when I saw that Lush had released a Suncare range that contains a Solid Sunscreen Wash as well as a Powdered Sunscreen, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Block of The Sun Block Solid Sunscreen Wash, a Tub of Million Dollar Suncream Face & Body Sunscreen, a Bottle of Powdered Sunshine Powdered Sunscreen, and a Bottle of Sesame Aftersun Lotion Aftersun, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about all four amazing products.

The The Sun Block Solid Sunscreen Wash.

Solid SPF 30 protection.
Shower on your Suncare! This solid combo of Sunscreens and Skin-loving Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Calamine Powder, and Chamomile Blue Oil will leave your whole Body feeling cool, calm, and protected with SPF 30 UVA.

How to use.

This product suits a range of Skin Tones from very pale to dark brown. Break off one third of the Bar and glide over wet Skin in the Bath or Shower, then lightly pat yourself dry with a Towel. We’ve calculated that one Block will protect your whole Body, but if that doesn’t feel generous enough, use two! It’s easy to apply too little Sunscreen, so we’ve split this Bar into chunks to make it easier to measure how much you have used.

Melt warning.

Store in a cool place away from direct Sunlight. In very hot Weather, store in the Fridge to avoid meltdowns.

The Million Dollar Sun Cream Face & Body Sunscreen.

Luxurious SPF 30, no expense spared.
With a Sunscreen this luxurious, you’ll be raring to re-apply. An SPF 30 Moisturiser that’s made with Honey and Fair Trade Shea Butter to leave your Skin looking and feeling like a million bucks. Alongside softening organic Sesame, Jojoba, and Cold-Pressed Primrose Oils, we’ve added a subtle shimmer for glowing, sun-kissed Skin.

How to use.

This product suits a range of Skin Tones from very pale to dark brown. Apply generously and evenly every two hours. We find this Sunscreen is especially lovely on the Face, Neck, Chest, and Arms. Pair with Shade, Shades, and a Hat.

The Powdered Sunshine Powdered Sunscreen.

Shake on SPF 15.
A loose, light Sunscreen Powder made with calming Calamine Powder and Skin-softening Organic Sesame Oil, with SPF 15. Delivers matte, delicately pigmented protection from the Sun for a non-greasy feel.

How to use.

This product best suits pale or lightly pigmented Skin. Apply generously and evenly across dry Skin to benefit from a cooling combo of Skincare ingredients and Sunscreens. Top up every two hours for optimum protection from the Sun.

The Sesame Aftersun Lotion Aftersun.

Nutty and nice for sun-kissed Skin.
This delicate and delicious Walnut Leaf Infusion and Sesame Oil Aftersun Lotion smells divine, and has all the ingredients to make your Skin glow.
Sesame Oil contains a compound believed to help stimulate a tanning response in the Skin, while a soothing combination of Walnut Leaf Infusion and Aloe Vera Extract cools and calms. This soothing Lotion is best applied to Skin that’s been well protected with Sunscreen and Shade.

How to use.

After time spent in the Sun, smooth this lovely Lotion all over your Body to retain moisture and keep the Skin soft and radiant. It’s a treat for the Skin, but not a substitute for Sunscreen!

The Lush Sun Block Solid Sunscreen Wash.

Its scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Octocrylene, Oxctylmethoxycinnamate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Organic Sesame Oil, Magnesium Carbonate, Chamomile Blue Oil, Rose Absolute, Eucalyptus Oil, Limonene, Linalool, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a delicious deep and chocolatey yet ever so slightly creamy Dark Chocolate scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you melt a Bar of some incredibly high quality Dark Chocolate.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had broken a piece of it off and had started to massage it into my Skin, it very quickly started to melt and release lots of incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Body Lotion all over my Body that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, protected, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious deep and chocolatey yet ever so slightly creamy Dark Chocolate for at least an hour after I had used it.

The Lush Million Dollar Sun Cream Face & Body Sunscreen.

Its scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Almond Sesame Seed and Oatmeal Decoction, Glycerine, Honey, Octocrylene, Octylmethoxycinnamate, Organic Sesame Oil, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Organic Jojoba Oil, Sodium Polyacrylate, Lavender Absolute, Tonka Absolute, Benzoin Resinoid, Rosewood Oil, Organic Cold-Pressed Evening Primrose Oil, Tin Oxide, Anise Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Citral, Coumarin, Eugenol, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Methylproben, and Propylparaben, I thought that it had a very strange deep and creamy yet ever so slightly medicinal Lavender scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you walk into a Coffee Shop after they’ve just finished making a Lavender Latte.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Sunscreen, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Overnight Face Mask rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Sunscreen.

What it did when I used it.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of what this did when I used it, as even though once I had massaged a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Overnight Face Mask into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Sunscreen that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds. I unfortunately found that it tended to pill and separate from my Skin whenever I used it with any kind of Moisturiser.

It’s results.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s results, as even though this left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, matte, protected, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, because it contained so much Glitter it tended to leave me looking extremely shiny and greasy after about two or three hours of me wearing it. It also managed to quite badly irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Black Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

The Lush Powdered Sunshine Powdered Sunscreen.

Its scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Calamine Powder, Cornstarch, Octocrylene, Magnesium Carbonate, Octylmethoxycinnamate, Organic Sesame Oil, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Lime Oil, Dark Sumatran Patchouli Oil, Olibanum Oil, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Citral, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Colour 77491, Colour 77492, and Colour 77499, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Lemon scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Jar of some Preserved Lemons.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had sprinkled a little bit of it on to my Arms, Neck and Legs and had started to massage it into my Skin, it turned from a very chunky and powdery yet ever so slightly creamy Dusting Powder into a very fine and powdery yet ever so slightly creamy Dusting Powder that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, matte, protected, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Lemon for at least half an hour after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

The Lush Sesame Aftersun Lotion Aftersun.

Its scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Walnut Leaf Infusion, Sesame Oil, Propylene Glycol, Water, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Aloe Vera Extract, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Cetearyl Alcohol;, Methylparaben, and Propylparaben, I thought that it had a very strange deep and nutty yet ever so slightly burnt Peanut Butter scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Jar of some out of date Peanut Butter.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Aftersun Lotion, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Body Oil rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Aftersun Lotion.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, protected, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of very strange deep and nutty yet ever so slightly burnt Peanut Butter for at least two or three hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush The Sun Block Solid Sunscreen Wash an eight point five out of ten, the Lush Million Dollar Sun Cream Face & Body Sunscreen a four out of ten, the Lush Powdered Sunshine Powdered Sunscreen a seven point five out of ten, and the Lush Sesame Aftersun Lotion Aftersun a six point five out of ten. I really liked the Lush The Sun Block Solid Sunscreen Wash, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and chocolatey yet ever so slightly creamy Dark Chocolate scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it was a little bit more cost effective, as £11 for three applications isn’t that great value for Money. I absolutely loved the Lush Million Dollar Sun Cream Face & Body Sunscreen, as I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy consistency, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and creamy yet ever so slightly medicinal Lavender scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results. I really liked the Lush Powdered Sunshine Powdered Sunscreen, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Lemon scent, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had contained a much higher level of SPF, as you really shouldn’t be using anything lower than SPF 30 on your Skin. I really liked the Lush Sesame Aftersun Lotion Aftersun, as I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly creamy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and nutty yet ever so slightly burnt Peanut Butter scent.
